“调休”用英语怎么说？
自 1995 年双休日制度的确立，我国的节假日安排经历了近三十年的演变。曾经的春节、五一、国庆三个“黄金周”，也激发了巨大的消费潜力。但是在近些年，关于“调休”制度的讨论一直没有停止。1
“调休”顾名思义就是“调换休息时间”，特指“原定休假的时间不休息，而是调换到另外的时间再休息”。因此，英文中“调休”可翻译为：change one's shift to get leave later。
这个词组指的是调整工作班次以便在未来的某个时间离开工作岗位，回应我们标题中的问题——“shift”是指班次、轮班的意思，因此可以对应“调休”中的“调”；shift 也可以指观点、心情、政策的改变。
“change one's shift”意味着改变工作的时间安排。
“to get leave”表示获得休假，我们在用英语告知别人休假的时候可以用“I am on leave”这句表达。
“later”则表示休假将发生的时间点。所以整个词组“change one's shift to get leave later”的含义是通过改变工作时间安排来延后获得休假。

还有人认为，大家的假期都太过集中，导致每逢节假日景区游客流量爆炸，拥挤的人流减少了游览景区的兴致，也使得住宿交通价格水涨船高，旅游体验因此十分糟糕，所以有网友每逢节假日就居家度假（staycation）而不选择去景区。
“staycation”这个词语由“stay”和“vacation”合成。“stay”有停留，逗留的意思，也有待在家里的意思；“vacation”表示假期。所以这两个单词组合在一起，含义就是在家度假。当然这个词汇也可以表示只在国内旅游。
