1. Online Application
Applicants may download and fill in the Application Form for Yunnan Government Scholarship (either in Chinese or English) by visiting https://web.ymu.edu.cn/gjxy/index.htm and then complete the online-application on the International Students Application System of YMU at https://ynni.at0086.cn/StuApplication/login.aspx
Necessary documents shall be provided as follows:
(1) Application Form of Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship (download at:https://web.ymu.edu.cn/gjxy/xzzx.htm)
(2) Application Form for International Students of YMU (print after the online application);
(3) Scanned copies of valid passport must be valid for at least six months;
(4) Scanned copies of notarized highest degree certificates, diploma and transcripts either in Chinese or in English. If applicants are either students or have been employed, they must provide a study certification or the working certificate. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in either Chinese or English;
(5) Scanned copies of HSK4 certificate or above;
(6) Two recommendation letters written in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors (compulsory for postgraduate programs applicants);
(7) Study plan or research proposal written in Chinese or English shall contain more than 1,000 words;
(8) Scanned copies of Physical Examination Record For Foreigner;
(9) Scanned copies of Non-criminal Certificate issued by authorities.
(10) Scanned copies of the test score report of the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (abbreviated as CSCA)
2. Examination and interview
Yunnan Minzu University will exam and review all the documents and conduct interviews to the applicants who have passed the first examination, and then recommend the name lists of the applicants to the Education Ministry of Yunnan Province according to their performances.
3. The Education Ministry of Yunnan Province will examine the recommended name lists and decide the final admission lists.
