On November 17th, the "Create the Future with Italy Sino-Italian Innovative Cooperation Conference" featuring Italian enterprises visiting Hangzhou Xiaoshan District was successfully held. The event organized by Livolsi & Partner with the participation of Unione Industriale Torino, Federchimica Aschimfarma, Pitti Immagine and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC).
CICC Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi addressed the conference via video reiterating CICC continued commitment to promoting economic exchanges between Italy and China and advancing new opportunities for cooperation. CICC Treasurer and Board Member Stefano Catozzi, Zhejiang Promoter Maurizio Barolo, Public Affairs Manager Wei Chen, and representatives of Italian companies attended in person.
Ms. Sheng Xiaorong, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Hangzhou Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau, Mr. Zhang Kaiyun, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone also attended the conference.
Ms. Sheng Xiaorong delivered the welcome address, highlighting Italy as the cradle of European civilization and a hub of design and innovation, and Hangzhou as one of China’s leading innovation centers and a pioneer in the digital economy. She noted that the city is accelerating the development of a modern industrial system, offering extensive opportunities and diverse scenarios for global cooperation. She expressed her hope that this partnership will further facilitate the exchange of innovation resources between China and Italy, leading to concrete achievements in scientific research, industrial integration, and talent exchange.
Representatives from several Italian official institutions also delivered engaging and heartfelt remarks. Members of the Italian Republic’s House of Representatives, along with representatives from key institutions and leading companies—including Livolsi Group, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, Pitti Impressions, the Turin Industrialists Union, the Italian Pharmaceutical Industry Active Ingredient and Intermediary Manufacturers Association, and the Italian Pharmaceutical Industry Association—showcased Italy’s strengths in technological R&D and market resources through both onsite and online contributions. They expressed a strong commitment to expanding cooperation with Hangzhou, laying a solid foundation of trust for future Sino-Italian industrial collaboration.
