British business confidence in China is under the spotlight as the British Chamber of Commerce in China (BritCham) prepares to release its eighth annual Sentiment Survey, based on insights from over 300 companies operating across the country.
The report examines shifting sentiments around key issues such as market localization, supply chain dynamics, geopolitical factors, and growth opportunities for UK firms in China heading into 2026.
This year’s launch event will feature expert analysis of the findings, alongside a special comparative session with Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), which will present data from its own survey of Chinese private-sector enterprises—offering a unique cross-market perspective on shared challenges and potential areas for Sino-British collaboration.

About the BritCham Sentiment Survey
The BritCham Sentiment Survey gathers comprehensive feedback from over 300 UK businesses in China on critical operational areas including investment outlook, talent management, intellectual property protection, and regulatory environment. The findings are analyzed by sector, company size, and region to guide BritCham’s advocacy priorities and are formally presented to both UK and Chinese government bodies to inform trade policy discussions.
