说起词汇，是多少家长朋友和小朋友心中难以抚平的痛！那种关键时刻就是想不起来填哪个词的郁闷感，我相信谁都不愿意再体验一次，——虽然你们大概率还是得再体验的

痛过，就知道要努力！今天，我就来推荐一套专攻初高中英语词汇突破的大合集图书，应该不难解决你们的词汇问题！

这是一套欧美老牌出版社Houghton Mifflin Harcourt（现在一般简称Harcourt）出版的Vocabulary Readers，直译是“词汇读本”，我更倾向于把它称为“词汇阅读教材”，因为这也是一种教学材料嘛！

这套书总共七个等级，从GK（Grade Kindergarten），G1、G2……一直到G6。如下图：

按道理，那这七个等级，应该是从幼儿园到小学六年级的内容呀，怎么就“适用于初高中英语词汇突破”了呢？

道理很简单，我们国内小朋友的英语水平，尤其是英语阅读水平，平均要比英美小朋友落后4-6年。我就取个平均数，5年，你们自己算一算吧

你们还别不信，我把G6的东西放上来，你们就知道其中的厉害了：

看到了没？这本书的句型也许并没有多大难度，但这里的词汇可不简单。我不说别的，就一个strikes a chord这个chord，就不是初中、小学能学到的。如果再加上那个yearn，那就更是如此了。

所以，我说这套书适用于小学高年级、初中、高中使用，那不是没有根据的。

第五级是这样的：

如果G6的那个故事你们还觉得奇怪：怎么都高中了，还是用的现在时态？那么G5这本书总该能让你们放心了：这是过去时！

其实，过去时还是现在时，还是得看行文的需要。就比如上面G6那个故事，the Story of Blues，布鲁斯音乐的故事（也称“蓝调音乐”），讲的是这种音乐类型每天都在发生的一般情况，那当然是用现在时了。

我们接着看G4：

我相信机敏的朋友都注意到了，诶？好像每幅截图上面都有那种小喇叭，是干嘛的？

如果你问了这个问题，那说明你对于“英语类母语启蒙”的圈子还不熟悉小喇叭当然是点读的按钮了！

没错，这套书是全程同步点读版本！如果哪本PDF没有点读音频，那么文件名就会有对应的说明（NO AUDIO）。

接下来是G3：

要说这套书好在哪里，图文并茂算不算其中一个特点？反正我看下来，真的是很多图、很棒的！

G2的形象是这样的：

我们看到，明显篇幅变短了，字体也变大了。这是给初中低年级和小学高年级小朋友看的嘛。

来看看G1：

这显然已经是把难度降到不能再降了，一页纸就一两句话！

可是，我们的图书作者就是还有办法再降下去：

他们的办法是：每页纸只安排一句话

到此，我就把这套书介绍完了。总体看下来，这是一套非常优秀的词汇阅读教材，它围绕着词汇学习开展阅读，并且提供了完整的音频体验。

总共166本的超大规模，也使得不管是对什么话题感兴趣的同学，都能从中找到自己感兴趣的那些分册。
