At CISK, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Whether through cross-cultural educational exchanges, real-world inquiry journeys, or artistic and cultural experiences, students continually expand the boundaries of their thinking and deepen their understanding of the world through connection and practice.
01
Fostering Understanding Through Exchange
Recently, CISK welcomed the Director of the International Department from the Sooke School District in British Columbia, Canada, as well as the leadership team from Chifeng No.2 Experimental Primary School in Inner Mongolia.
The visits focused on in-depth discussions around international curriculum implementation, teacher professional growth, and holistic student development. Delegates toured the campus, met with the school’s leadership team, and shared positive impressions of our curriculum framework, school culture, and teacher-student interactions.
02
Inquiry in the Real World
The essence of inquiry-based learning lies in helping students discover and think within authentic contexts.
CISK’s learning journey extends outdoors—our younger learners enjoyed a sunny autumn picnic at Dayuwan, playing and exploring the rhythms of nature and seasonal change.
Meanwhile, Grade 5 students visited the Suzhou Museum to conduct research on themes of culture and art. Through observation and documentation, they explored the connection between “culture and design” beyond the classroom walls.
03
Artistic Expression: Extending Creativity and Thought
CISK’s on-campus Visual Art Exhibition showcased works from G11 students, exploring themes of nature, culture, identity, and emotion. Each piece reflects not only technical skill but also the students’ ways of thinking and interpreting the world through creation.
Art is an integral part of inquiry-based learning at CISK—it empowers students to express ideas, convey emotions, and understand diverse cultures through visual language, transforming the campus into a space of creativity and inspiration.
04
Honoring Tradition and Strengthening Community
Organized by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), CISK celebrated the Grandparents Day with a heartwarming community event. Parents invited grandparents to join the campus gathering, where they made traditional sachets and enjoyed Chongyang cakes together, sharing the warmth and spirit of this cultural tradition.
During the event, the Parent Committee also held a sachet charity sale at the school gate. All proceeds will be used to support future school and community initiatives organized by the committee.
In addition, Korean parents shared their culture by teaching others how to make gimbap, adding warmth and joy to this moment of cross-cultural exchange.
CISK Community regularly hosts weekly and monthly cross-cultural student activities, parent events, and domestic and international exchange visits. All activities aim to energize and enrich community life, support children in acquiring knowledge and skills more effectively at school, help new members build a sense of belonging, and foster a thriving ecosystem within the community. We welcome you to join us and participate in more exciting events together.
