Join AmCham Shanghai's Manufacturers' Business Council and Financial Services Committee for a joint event on Merger, Acquisition or Divesture on Wednesday, July 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center.


Our featured speakers, Barry Chen from InterChina Partners will discuss two strategic avenues to strengthen business operations in China: 1) Strategic portfolio optimization in terms of exiting non-core and underperforming assets, and 2) Acquisitions to enhance competitive positioning, expand the product portfolio and accelerate localization. Rebecca Chen will focus primarily on the enterprise strategy/development perspective (in-house & 3rd party), particularly regarding M&A and relevant inorganic approaches.


The speakers will also share insights on corporate development strategy in China, transaction execution challenges in both acquisitions and divestitures, key consolidation trends, and best practices from peers. They will also touch on leveraging China outbound interest to build global alliances and jointures beyond China.
