WeChat Pay Cut Fees for International Users

■For the first time users link international cards to WeChat Pay are eligible for a full waiver of the transaction fee on daily transactions up to RMB1,000, valid for 60 consecutive days starting from their first transactions. 

■All international bank card users can enjoy a 3% fee waiver on every single transaction under CNY 200. 

■新用户首次绑国际卡后，自首笔交易开始，可连续60天、享受每天1000元额度内消费交易手续费全免优惠。

■全部使用微信支付外卡能力的用户，可继续享受单笔不满200元消费、免3%国际卡交易手续费的优惠。

The campaign will continue till the end of the year.

据悉，本次微信支付外卡手续费减免活动将持续到今年底。

Overseas visitors to China can bind major international credit card like VISA、Mastercard、American Express、Discover Global、Network、JCB、Diners Club and UnionPay to WeChat pay and make payment directly. After completing real name verification, users can gain higher payment limits and a wider range of services. Statistics show that both the number and volume of international Wechat pay nearly doubled during the May Day holiday compared to the same period last year. 

目前，境外来华用户只要在微信上绑定包括VISA、Mastercard、American Express、Discover Global、Network、JCB、Diners Club、UnionPay在内的七大国际品牌银行卡就可直接支付。实名认证后，还可以升级到更全面更大额的支付服务。2025年的五一期间，使用微信支付外卡服务的外籍用户，消费笔数、金额都同比增长近2倍。

In addition to its international card linking payment, WeChat Pay is also expanding its “Pay with Overseas Wallet” solution. During the Expo Osaka 2025, WeChat announced the updated payment service, foreign visitor can scan the WeChat Pay Codes and make payments using 14 overseas wallets such as Octopus(Hong Kong), BOC(Macau) , K plus (Thailand), Bakong(Cambodia), ICBC Pay (New Zealand), NAVER Pay(South Korea) and Boost (Malaysia).

除了“外卡内绑”的微信支付外卡能力，在今年大阪世博会上，微信支付也宣布，“外包内用”方案再升级，再添4个境外合作钱包APP。外籍用户可在入境后，选择直接用中国香港地区八达通、中国澳门地区的中银澳门、泰国K plus、柬埔寨Bakong、新西兰ICBC Pay、韩国NAVER Pay，马来西亚 Boost 等14个境外合作钱包APP扫微信支付收款码完成付款。
