The 15th National Games concluded on November 21, with twenty-four students from Central China Normal University (CCNU) earning a total of 6 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals, showcasing not only athletic excellence but also the determination and vitality of CCNU students.

In recent years, CCNU has enhanced its efforts to integrate sports with education, supporting the development of high-level student athletes. These young athletes have carried forward the Olympic spirit of “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together” as well as CCNU’s values of “Loyalty, Erudition, Integrity, and Perseverance”. 

Looking ahead, CCNU hopes that more students will be inspired by these achievements, continue to embrace challenges with confidence, and strive toward new goals, allowing youth to shine through dedication and perseverance.

On November 21, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAS and CAE) released their lists of newly elected academicians. Eleven experts and scholars from Hubei Province were elected this year — the first time the number has reached double digits and the largest number elected in a single election to date. This brings the total number of CAS and CAE academicians in Hubei to more than 90.

The newly elected academicians work across a wide range of fields, from basic research to cutting-edge technology. Their achievements reflect Hubei’s academic strengths, especially in areas such as the Beidou navigation system, aquatic sciences, and mechanical engineering, where a strong talent pool has taken shape.

According to China Film News, the release of several imported Japanese films, including Crayon Shin-chan: Schoolyard Strikers and Cells at Work!, has been temporarily suspended. This decision follows a comprehensive assessment of the recent market performance of films imported from Japan and takes into account current audience sentiment in China. 

The controversial remarks made by Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae have triggered strong dissatisfaction among a wide range of Chinese viewers. As a result of the backlash, the newly released animated film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 - Gyokko’s Revenge saw a sharp drop in box office revenue, with earnings declining significantly within just three days after its release.

Importers and distributors of the Japanese films that were originally scheduled for release in the coming weeks indicated that the provocative comments from the Japanese side are likely to influence Chinese audiences’ attitudes toward Japanese productions. In line with market considerations and in respect of audience sentiment, the parties involved have therefore decided to postpone the upcoming releases.
