Residence Authorization-Related Services on Macao One Account

To implement the Macao SAR government’s vision of streamlining administration to provide convenience and to continuously enhance government service efficiency, starting from 20 October 2025, the Public Security Police Force provides the new services of receiving notification of the approval of the application for Residence Authorization renewal and collecting the Residence Authorization Certificate at Macao One Account. On the same day, the Identification Services Bureau launches the electronic service of application for renewal of the Non-permanent Resident Identity Card. With the collaboration and data interchange between the two departments, eligible Macao residents may first collect the Residence Authorization Certificate at Macao One Account and then apply for renewal of the identity card at the self-service kiosks or service counters of the Identification Services Bureau. Residents aged 18 or above may even apply for renewal of the identity card at Macao One Account directly to enjoy the “Collect Certificate, Renew ID Card” e-service.

1. Persons ^Note who apply for and are granted Residence Authorization renewal through the Public Security Police Force and choose to collect the Residence Authorization Certificate and receive the relevant e-notification (the content of which includes information about the approval of the application for Residence Authorization renewal) via Macao One Account during the period of application for the Authorization;

2.Persons ^Note who apply for and are granted Residence Authorization renewal through the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute and choose to collect the Residence Authorization Certificate and receive the relevant e-notification via Macao One Account during the period of application for Residence Authorization Certificate to the Public Security Police Force.

Note:

1.Collect in person: only applicable to applicants aged 18 or above;

2.Collect on behalf of children under 18 (including adopted children): only applicable to unemancipated minors whose kindred/adoption relationships have been verified by the Identification Services Bureau.

Persons who collect the Residence Authorization Certificate via Macao One Account may use the Public Security Police Force’s self-service kiosks (at a total of 17 locations) or go to designated service locations (a total of 16 service points) during office hours if they need to print a new Slip of Residence Authorization (on which the validity of the renewed Residence Authorization is specified).

Implementing e-Government services actively and realizing the concept of “promoting data flows, reducing citizen errands” have become the development trend of public administration. They are also the keys to enhancing administrative efficiency and providing facilitating services to residents. The Public Security Police Force will continue to provide more e-services at Macao One Account and the self-service kiosks, enrich the application scenarios for facilitation and further enhance administrative efficiency and public convenience.
