Safety is the top priority in using diesel generator sets. Below are the essential safety operation guidelines to ensure stable and secure operation.

1. Pre-Operation Checks

- Inspect fuel, engine oil, and coolant levels to ensure they meet the specified standards; do not overfill.

- Check the tightness of oil pipes, fuel pipes, and coolant pipes for leaks.

- Examine the battery connection for firmness and no corrosion; confirm the electrical system is intact.

- Ensure the surrounding area is clean, free of flammable and explosive materials, and well-ventilated.

2. Start-Up Safety Rules

- Switch on the control panel power and conduct a pre-start self-check; start only if no faults are indicated.

- For manual start, turn the key to the "Start" position and release immediately after the generator starts.

- For automatic start, ensure the switch is in the "Auto" mode and wait for it to start normally.

- After starting, observe the oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage; if abnormal (e.g., low oil pressure), shut down immediately.

3. Operation Monitoring Requirements

- Monitor the generator’s operating parameters (speed, voltage, current, temperature) in real-time and record them regularly.

- Keep an eye on abnormal noises, vibrations, or odors; stop operation promptly for inspection if found.

- Prohibit overloading the generator; the load should not exceed its rated power for a long time.

- Do not touch high-temperature components (exhaust pipe, engine body) or live parts during operation.

4. Shutdown Procedures

- For normal shutdown: Gradually reduce the load to zero, run at idle speed for 3-5 minutes, then turn off the control switch.

- For emergency shutdown: Press the "Emergency Stop" button immediately in case of oil leakage, fire, abnormal sounds, or electrical failures.

- After shutdown, cut off the main power supply and clean the generator set and its surrounding area.

5. Routine Maintenance & Precautions

- Conduct regular maintenance (oil change, filter replacement) as per the equipment manual.

- Store fuel in a dedicated, well-ventilated container away from fire sources.

- Only trained personnel are allowed to operate and maintain the generator set; untrained personnel are prohibited from approaching.

- In case of fire, use dry powder fire extinguishers; do not use water to extinguish electrical or oil fires.

Adhering to these safety procedures is the fundamental guarantee for the safe and efficient operation of diesel generator sets. Always put safety first!
