Introduction
The International Conference on Operations and Supply Chain Management (ICOSCM) will celebrate its 20th anniversary in July 2026 with the theme Reimagining Supply Chains – Global Collaborations and Innovations under Uncertainty. Queen’s Business School at Queen’s University Belfast is honoured to host this milestone event, bringing together academic scholars and industry practitioners from around the world.
Today’s supply chains are more complex, interconnected and interdependent than ever before. Shaped by geopolitical tensions, economic volatility, technological disruption and climate uncertainty, supply chains must constantly adapt to shifting global realities. These dynamics make supply chains simultaneously fragile and resilient, local and global, and increasingly difficult to model or manage with traditional approaches.
Under the theme Reimagining Supply Chains – Global Collaborations and Innovations under Uncertainty, ICOSCM 2026 seeks to explore transformative strategies for navigating uncertainty and redefining collaboration across industries and geographies. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of artificial intelligence, machine learning and digital technologies in enabling new forms of resilience, agility and sustainability.
Topics of Interest
We welcome theoretical, empirical, methodological and applied contributions that include but are not limited to:
• AI, Machine Learning, and Digital Supply Chains: Applications of emerging technologies to improve forecasting, optimisation, risk assessment, and decision-making.
• Interdisciplinary and Cross-Sector Approaches: Innovative modelling methods (conceptual, data-driven, digital twin, fuzzy cognitive mapping, etc.) bridging disciplines such as operations, economics, systems science, and sustainability.
• Global Collaboration under Uncertainty: Governance mechanisms, cross-border partnerships, and institutional frameworks to strengthen resilience in volatile geopolitical contexts.
• Resilience and Risk Management: Evidence-based tools, frameworks, and methods for managing shocks, uncertainty, and cascading disruptions.
• Theory-Practice Integration: Case studies and practice-oriented insights linking academic advances with real-world supply chain transformations.
• Circular and Sustainable Supply Chains: End-to-end modelling that integrates production, consumption, waste management, and post-consumer recovery.
