Vietnam served as the Country of Honor for the 13th CAEXPO.
At the past 21 sessions of the CAEXPO, Vietnam has occupied over 4,000 booths, with more than 2,000 participating companies. Major exhibited goods and services included national image promotion, wood products and furniture, food and beverages, agricultural products, daily necessities, footwear, and light industrial handicrafts. Important agreements were signed for projects such as power generation, port construction, food processing, tire manufacturing, and organic waste resource utilization.

The China-Vietnam Friendship Pass Smart Port Project was a key project promoted at the 20th CAEXPO. Upon completion, the smart port will enable fast, efficient, contactless, and uninterrupted transfer and cross-border transport of import and export goods on dedicated channels, enhancing port clearance capacity and efficiency.
The Kon Tum Onshore Wind Power Project was signed at the 19th CAEXPO. Located in the northeastern mountainous area of Kon Tum Province, the first phase has an installed capacity of 500 MW.
The Huong Hoa Onshore Wind Power Project was signed at the 19th CAEXPO, jointly developed by China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Design Institute and Anhui Electric Power Construction No.2 Company. Located in Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province, with an elevation of 500-775 meters, the project plans to use 8 units of 6 MW wind turbines, with a total installed capacity of 48 MW.

The China-Vietnam Detian (Ban Gioc) Falls Cross-Border Tourism Cooperation Zone Project was a key project promoted at the 12th CAEXPO. Based on the Detian (Ban Gioc) Falls, the largest transnational waterfall in Asia, the project aims to create a model for cross-border tourism and inject new momentum into the border economy, integration of tourism culture, and people-to-people connections between China and Vietnam.

Since the launch of Pavilion of Cities of Charm at the 2nd CAEXPO in 2005, Vietnamese provinces or cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ha Long City have been featured in the "Cities of Charm" zone, showcasing their developments and business opportunities in trade, investment, science and technology, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
