ESG & Sustainability Dialogue with GWEC
Accelerate global green energy transition
SANY Renewable Energy and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) held a high-level dialogue on ESG and sustainability, exploring how the wind industry can accelerate its green transformation to build a more sustainable future.
SANY Renewable Energy emphasized its core ESG values and overall strategies. To translate ambitious sustainability goals into concrete, measurable actions, microgrids, solar panels on the plant roof, VOC waste management in its paint rooms are applied in its Shaoshan Blade Factory. SANY R.E. also implements initiatives including supply chain ESG audit & risk management, LCA/EPD, conflict material investigations to build a sustainable supply chain.
GWEC pointed out that the industry still faces common challenges in creating transparent, resilient, and low-carbon supply chains. To address these, GWEC is driving initiatives such as global sustainability standards, knowledge-sharing platforms, and collaborative roadmaps for companies.
“Sustainable development lies in collaboration, not confrontation,” said Paulo Fernando Soares, Managing Director of SANY Renewable Energy Europe. Both sides agreed that companies like SANY and organizations like GWEC can jointly enhance the sustainability baseline of the wind sector together.
