Its inverters and other key components are providing critical technological support for large-scale solar installations, including projects developed by the semi-state group ČEZ. The recent launch of the photovoltaic power plant near Litvínov stands as a testament to this productive partnership and signals a promising future for continued cooperation.

The 18.8 MW solar power plant was built on the site of a former brown coal mine as part of the area's revitalization. The main supplier of the inverters, which convert energy from the solar panels into the power grid, is Huawei.

According to experts, Huawei is currently one of the largest players in the European solar market. According to the organization SolarPower Europe, Chinese companies control more than 65 percent of this market, with Huawei and Sungrow, another Chinese green tech company, being key suppliers. ČEZ also plans to use Huawei technologies in future installations.

Customers mainly choose inverters and battery systems for their reliability, performance, and quick availability. Equally important are compliance with European technical standards and easy integration into hybrid systems.

“In the commercial energy sector, we work exclusively with equipment that meets all requirements for data security and operational stability. Measures are in place to ensure that no data leaves the Czech infrastructure. Today, Huawei simply ranks among the technology leaders in its category,” says Tomáš Hauptvogel, spokesperson for CE-Energy. Huawei supplies CE-Energy with large-capacity batteries and substations, which the company is installing and connecting to the power grid during November and December as part of ancillary services for power balance (SVR).
