“五月啤酒节”起源于十六世纪，作为德国最古老的传统节日之一，更是与“十月啤酒节”齐名，是德国人民庆祝春天的节日——告别寒冷的阴暗冬季，迎接复苏的明媚春天而举办的庆典活动，每逢五月将至，全国人民在五月树下一同欢庆节日的到来。

五月啤酒节的传统就是一起喝春天第一杯啤酒，五月特酿啤酒(Maibockbeer)，升起五月树(Maypole)，享受音乐、舞蹈及美食。

Maifest (Mayfest) celebrates the arrival of spring, nature’s bright reawakening after winter’s cold and darkness. Maifest has its roots in one of mankind’s oldest traditions and are still celebrated throughout Germany, and has evolved to become a colorful, joyous part of European history and culture, with distinctive traditions like the dancing around the Maypole.
