Spoke at the Asia-Europe Large River Regional Dialogue

On 21^st October, Jens Ewert, vice chair of the European Chamber’s Shanghai Chapter, delivered a speech at the 2025 Asia-Europe Large River Regional Dialogue hosted by the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC). SPAFFC President Chen Jing delivered opening remarks.

Ewert spoke on the significance of the EU-China economic relationship, highlighting the importance of Shanghai remaining at the forefront of addressing key sustainability issues, and the opportunities for collaboration and shared value creation through openness to foreign participation. He also noted that Shanghai, a historical gateway to China, continues to strive for progress, and that the European Chamber will continue to support its members in advancing innovation within China’s sustainability sector.

SPAFFC vice presidents, Fu Jihong and Su Lin, also attended the event.
