On October 30, Haier Japan signed an "Agreement on Laundry Support During Disasters" with the town of Ujitawara in Kyoto Prefecture. Situated in a mountainous region, Ujitawara frequently faces the threat of natural disasters such as landslides. According to the agreement, in the event of emergencies like earthquakes or typhoons, the town's "AQUA Laundromat Satellite (Kyoto Ujitawara Branch)," operated by Haier Smart Home, will serve as an emergency support hub. It will offer all residents free access to its washing and drying machines, as well as charging stations for electronic devices. This laundromat, which opened last October, will now provide crucial support to the community in the aftermath of a disaster.
Prior to the signing, on October 26, Haier Japan was invited to participate in the town's annual comprehensive disaster drill. At the event, Haier set up a dedicated booth to explain its free laundry support plan to participating residents and public agency staff, and also showcased several home appliances useful in emergencies. Through this interaction, Haier not only strengthened its ties with the local community but also received a great deal of positive feedback from regular customers of the laundromat.
Furthermore, to extend its support for the community, Haier Japan donated automatic shoe washers and vertical washing machines to Ujitawara. These appliances will be distributed for use at the elementary schools, middle schools, and nurseries.
From signing the support agreement to participating in the community disaster drill, Haier Japan's series of collaborative efforts have not only reinforced the local disaster preparedness system but also enhanced the brand's image within the community. Moving forward, Haier Smart Home will continue to partner with local governments and public organizations, contributing to the creation of a safer and more secure society.
海尔日本与京都宇治田原町
缔结防灾救灾协定
10月30日，海尔日本与京都府宇治田原町正式签署了《灾害时期洗衣支援协定》。宇治田原町地处山区，时常面临滑坡等自然灾害的威胁。根据协定，在地震、风灾等紧急情况下，海尔智家旗下的“AQUA自助洗衣卫星店（京都宇治田原店）”将作为紧急援助点，向所有居民免费开放洗衣、烘干设备及充电电源。这家去年10月开业的自助洗衣店，从此将为当地民众的灾后生活提供有力保障。
在协定签署前的10月26日，海尔日本还受邀参加了当地年度综合防灾演练。活动现场，海尔设立了专门展位，向参与演练的居民及公共机构工作人员详细介绍了灾害期间的免费洗衣支援计划，并展示了多款在紧急情况下能发挥作用的家电产品。通过与居民的交流，海尔不仅加深了与当地社区的联系，也收获了众多自助洗衣店老用户的积极反馈。
此外，为进一步支持当地社区，海尔日本还向宇治田原町捐赠了全自动洗鞋机和全自动立式洗衣机，这些设备将被分配至町内的小学、中学及保育所使用。
