Risk Sciences Received an Anonymous Donation to Establish the Annual Best Paper Award for Its International Annual Conference
Recently, Risk Sciences, an international academic journal jointly established by the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University and KeAi Publishing, received an anonymous donation from a couple in Singapore. According to the donor’s request, the funds will be designated exclusively to perpetually support the Annual Best Conference Paper Award of the journal’s international conference and will not be used for the journal’s operational expenses.
Since its establishment in 2024, the journal Risk Sciences has held two Risk Sciences Annual Conferences in Beijing and Singapore, with the second conference hosted by Nanyang Technological University. The next conference will be hosted by Imperial College London in the United Kingdom. The primary purpose of the annual conference series is to promote the journal Risk Sciences among the international academic community and to facilitate scholarly exchange between local and global researchers in fields related to risk studies.
This donation not only reflects the recognition by international friends of Risk Sciences’ multidisciplinary development initiative, but also further helps the journal attract and encourage more scholars to present and exchange their representative and significant research findings at the journal’s international conference. The Best Conference Paper Award will become a distinguished honor for all participants to compete for.

The donor couple has long been committed to supporting education and research in the field of risk sciences. Through this donation, they hope to promote deeper collaboration between risk management and related interdisciplinary fields, inspiring more outstanding scholars to engage in academically rigorous and internationally influential research that addresses global risk challenges. In due course, Risk Sciences will announce the official name of the Annual Best Paper Award and the procedures for participation.
