— You want to delve into a cutting-edge topic, only to find that key academic papers cost dozens or even hundreds of dollars to access.
— As a researcher, the hard-earned results you produce are 'locked' behind high subscription fees in the ivory towers of a few institutions.This 'paywall' not only hinders personal learning but also slows down the overall progress of human science.
There is a global movement dedicated to tearing down this wall, and it is called 'Open Access.'The last week of October each year is the celebration of this movement — International Open Access Week.

每年10月的最后一周，正是属于这场运动的节日——国际开放获取周。
