什么是意式冰淇淋?

What is gelato?


“Gelato”一词,本意就是“冷冻”与“精致”。

它的历史可追溯至文艺复兴时期,传说在美第奇家族的宴席上,建筑师贝尼尼不仅设计喷泉,还参与制作了最早的奶油冰淇淋。
而真正将 Gelato 带入民间的,是西西里的雪藏技艺与北部伦巴第的奶源结合

它不像美式冰淇淋那样充满空气与奶油,而是以更慢的搅拌、更低的脂肪,留住食材本味。
在意大利,每个地区的 Gelato 都藏着风土的秘密:西西里的血橙、皮埃蒙特的榛子、波河平原的奶香……一勺 Gelato,是土地与手艺的和鸣。

The word “Gelato” itself means “frozen” and “refined.” Its origins trace back to the Renaissance, where it’s said that the architect Bernini—already famous for his fountains—had a hand in creating one of the earliest forms of creamy iced dessert for the Medici family.
But it was the meeting of Sicily’s snow-preservation techniques and Lombardy’s rich dairy that truly brought Gelato to the people.
Unlike American-style ice cream, Gelato is churned more slowly and has less butterfat, allowing the true flavor of the ingredients to shine.
In Italy, every region’s Gelato tells a story: blood orange from Sicily, hazelnuts from Piedmont, fresh milk from the Po Valley… Each scoop is a harmony of land and craft.

什么是佛卡夏?

What is focaccia?

佛卡夏,这个名字源自拉丁语“focus”,

意为“壁炉”或“火炉”。

古罗马时期,人们便在炉火边烤制这种扁平的面包,涂抹橄榄油,撒上香草与海盐。
它没有花哨的外形,

却在面团中藏着一片“会呼吸的海绵”

那是长时间发酵形成的气孔,浸润着橄榄油的芬芳。
在热那亚,

佛卡夏被称作“fugàssa”,是海员出海时的干粮,也是主妇们随手分享的邻里温情;

在普利亚,

它搭配番茄与橄榄,成为夏日餐桌上的阳光风景。
佛卡夏的质朴,恰如意大利人的生活哲学:简单中见真味,日常中藏深情。

Focaccia takes its name from the Latin word “focus,” meaning “hearth” or “fireside.” In ancient Rome, this flatbread was baked near the fire, brushed with olive oil, and sprinkled with herbs and sea salt.
It doesn’t boast a fancy shape, but hidden inside its dough is a “breathing sponge”—a network of air pockets formed through slow fermentation, soaked with the fragrance of olive oil.
In Genoa, it’s called “fugàssa,” a staple for sailors and a gesture of sharing among neighbors. In Puglia, it’s topped with tomatoes and olives, embodying the taste of the summer sun.
The simplicity of Focaccia reflects an Italian philosophy of life: true flavor lies in simplicity, and beauty lives in the everyday.
