We will be living at 📍Erdao Baihe Town, a peaceful town located at the foot of Changbai Mountain, with many hotels, restaurants and shops.

After breakfast, meet your guide for a scenic drive to Changbai Mountain, one of China’s most iconic peaks and home to a dormant volcano, rare wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes.
🗺️ Hop on the sightseeing bus to reach the famous Heavenly Lake — China’s highest volcanic lake, surrounded by 16 snow-covered peaks. Take in the stunning panoramic views before heading down to the powerful Changbai Waterfall, cascading 68 meters from the lake.

💦 Changbai Waterfall
Next, follow the right-hand road from the transfer center to visit the dramatic Changbai Waterfall, where meltwater from Heaven Lake plunges 68 meters, making it the world’s highest volcanic lake waterfall. From the viewing deck, it appears like two dragons flying through the mist.
🌳 Scenic Stops Along the Way
📍Small Heavenly Lake (小天池): A quiet, reflective pond tucked in the forest.
📍Green Deep Pool (绿渊潭): A striking emerald-green pool, fed by a 26-meter waterfall cascading over dark volcanic cliffs.
📍Julong Springs: Nature’s Boiling Wonderland, the springs paint surrounding rocks in vibrant gold, blue, red, and green, with steam rising mysteriously from the ground.
Water temperatures often exceed 60°C, with some springs reaching up to 80°C — hot enough to boil an egg in seconds!
📍Underground Forest (地下森林): End the day with a walk through this mystical forest, formed by volcanic activity and sunken terrain. Rich in negative oxygen ions, it’s known as a "natural oxygen bar." After breakfast, meet your guide and begin the day with a visit to the 📍Mojie Scenic Area — Formed by water flowing from the Heavenly Lake of Changbai Mountain, the river never freezes, even in the depths of winter. It earns its name from the area's otherworldly landscape: a mist-covered, never-frozen river, twisted deadwood rising from the water, and delicate rime ice clinging to branches like crystals. The eerie, dreamlike scenery feels like something straight out of The Lord of the Rings.
You’ll experience rafting on the warm spring water, drifting past the hauntingly beautiful landscape. Floating through fog, frost, and ancient trees, this is one of the most magical and memorable ways to experience the mystery of Changbaishan.

Changbaishan
Located on the southeastern edge of Jilin Province, straddling the border between China and North Korea, Changbaishan, or Changbai Mountain, is one of the Top 10 Most Famous Mountains in China. Its name, meaning “Forever White Mountain,” comes from its iconic snow-capped peaks, which remain glistening year-round.
What truly sets Changbaishan apart from other mountains in China is its extraordinary volcanic landscape. Unlike traditional mountain ranges, Changbaishan is a dormant volcano with a history of eruptions dating back over 12 million years. These ancient eruptions shaped its rugged terrain, formed deep canyons, and gave birth to one of its most iconic features — Tianchi (Heavenly Lake).
Tianchi is the largest, deepest, and highest alpine crater lake in China, sitting within the collapsed volcanic cone. It also serves as the source of several major rivers in Northeast China. At its northern edge, meltwater from the lake cascades down a 68-meter cliff, forming the Changbai Waterfall — the world’s highest volcanic lake waterfall.
Lower down the mountain, centuries of erosion and weathering have carved deep, quiet canyons filled with volcanic deposits, while the entire area is dotted with mineral-rich hot springs, making it a haven for both adventure seekers and wellness travelers alike.

Heavenly Lake
Tianchi, or known as Heavenly Lake, is absolutely the must-visit of Changbaishan. It is settled atop the mountain, at an altitude of 2,189 meters above sea level. The area where the lake set is a crater, with multiple eruptions 12 million years ago and the latest recorded eruption occurring in 1702. Fortunately, the volcano has remained dormant since then. And with springs overflow and rains collect, Tianchi, this vast alpine lake of more than ten square kilometers gradually forms, which is now the grandest in China. Tianchi like a beautiful jade embedded in the mountain clusters of Changbaishan. It is usually in incredible blue and reflects the beautiful sky and moving clouds. And from mid-October to mid-June, it is typically covered with white and flat ice and snow.

Grand Waterfall
At the north end of Tianchi is Changbaishan Grand Waterfall, the only outlet of Tianchi. In such a gorgeous mountainous region with abundant water stored on its top, it is never a big surprise to find waterfall clusters. However, visitors are still impressed a lot by the breathtaking size of the Changbai Grand Waterfall, even though they are already mentally prepared. The waterfall is about 68 meters high and its roar can be heard as far as 200 meters away. What make the waterfall more appealing are the dragon-like trails built next to it, with its surrounding unique black volcanic rocks and ground as backdrop. For safety concerns and environmental protections, these trails are closed now, but all the visitors getting close to the waterfall will still find the relics of the trails too.
Julong Springs
Less than 2 kilometers below the Changbaishan Grand Waterfall, there are dozens of geothermal sites in big and small spreading a thousand square meters of ground, and this Julong Springs, the largest spring cluster in Changbaishan. It colors the surrounding rocks and gravel in beautiful gold, blue, red, green, with mysterious fogs floating in the air. Most of these springs enjoy a high temperature of more than 60℃, and temperature of some hottest ones can reach to as high as 80℃. Put eggs into the hot springs and then you will get a hard-boiled one in almost one second. There is even a special hot spring egg shop opened. Do not forget to have a try if you are there.
Valley Forest
Sudden volcanic eruptions once created huge energy upon nowadays Changbaishan region. Some parts like the summit became taller and taller, while some lower regions collapsed and sank into the valley. When you visit Changbaishan nowadays, you will find a large scale of forest at the bottom of the valley. Ancient trees stand tall in the valley, forming a dense forest. Spruce, mangrove, white birth, elm trees and other timber trees, as well as some precious medical plants can all be found there, and it will be a great experience to stand taller than the forest and get a panorama view of it.

Changbai Mountain Beauty Pine Sculpture Park is located in Chibei District, Management Committee of Changbai Mountain Protection and Development Zone, Jilin Province. The garden design is based on the natural environment, combining green gardens with elegant sculpture art, so as to achieve the allocation of artistic resources and natural resources, highlighting the Artists' creative ideas are international and forward-looking, a fresh and bright human landscape.
Skybridge Park
This project is located in Erdaobaihe Town, Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province. The site is situated at a relatively high elevation within the town and faces a vast forest of Beauty Pines and the converging waters of the Erdaobaihe River.
A pedestrian bridge was introduced along the site's natural topography to meet the needs of both local residents and visiting tourists for slow-paced travel and scenic viewing. The design creatively integrates supporting service buildings to transform the area into the town’s landscape balcony and public living room.
