今日词汇： credit

大家好， 不知大家周末过得如何？ 去哪里玩了？ 还是忙着干家务，还是陪着孩子一起玩或是学习。 

我的周末总是过的很快， 除了规律的运动，本周我做了三个半小时的义工，工作很简单就是在后厨做一些简单的食品，帮忙准备咖啡什么的。 义工的目的就是为孩子俱乐部增加一些收入，以此降低俱乐部的会员费，让更多的孩子可以参与进来。想法非常美好， 且现实也是可以实施操作的，何乐而不为呢。工作的时候也有时间和其他家长聊聊天，大部分时间都是很开心愉快的。  

上周的学习分享我提到了accredit, 动词， 认为...属实，授权。 其中后缀credit也是一个很多意思的词，我非常想利用这个时机总结这个词汇本身和连带的一些常见词汇。 如果你同样感兴趣就一起看下去吧。 

credit, 名词， 赞赏 （praise, approval, or honour）

-She got no credit for solving the problem.

-She deserves credit for her hard work.

！！注意！！这里的credit不可数。 

credit, 名词， 学分 (a unit that represents a successfully finished part of an educational course)

-Each of these classes is worth three credits.

下面大部分的内容讲述credit/debit在金融财会领域中的利用。 

credit, 名词， 赊购 （a method of paying for goods or services at a later time, usually paying interest as well as the original money）

-They decided to buy the car on credit. 信用贷款买车

debit, 名词， 借项 （(a record of) money taken out of a bank account）

-Debits are shown in the left-hand column. 

-The account was in debit at the end of the month.  月底账面出现负数

在金融领域credit，debit的相对的概念, ！！注意！！这里credit作为动词使用

credit → 存入（钱进来）

-Your account has been credited with €500. （加法+）

debit → 支出（钱出去）

- The bill amount will be debited from your account. （减法-）

两种常见的银行卡

• credit card → 信用卡（银行“赊账”给你，这里credit的翻译更偏向中文，即信用）

• debit card → 借记卡（就是一般的银行卡，没有赊账，你有多少花多少）

  
  

最后引申一些关于债权和债务人的信息

creditor, 债权人， 因为有credit， 所以有能力借钱出去 

-The bank is a major creditor of the company. （bank借钱给company)

debtor, 债务人， 因为debt欠款， 没有钱。所以需要还钱。

-The company is a debtor to several suppliers. (company需要还钱给suppliers)

如果结合以上两个例句我们可以这样理解， 一家公司主要从银行贷款做生意，这门生意需要从供应商那里采购原材料用于加工生产。 这个链条就形成了。  

其实关系都是相对的， 即你是我的creditor (借钱方），那我就是你的debtor (欠钱方），因此同样的例句也可以这么写

-The company is the debtor of the bank； several suppliers are the creditors of the company. 

这个概念在金融财会领域被广泛使用， 之前我总是分不清creditor和debtor. 感谢今天的学习笔记机会，通过以上的讲解我现在也终于弄清楚了。 重点在于谁欠谁的钱。欠钱的一方是debtor, 另一方一定是creditor。 

最后总结一些常见短语

• give credit to sb. → 赞扬某人

• take credit for sth. → 把某事的功劳归于自己
