广东工业大学是一所以工为主、工理经管文法艺教结合、多科性协调发展的省属重点大学、广东省高水平大学重点建设高校，1958年开办本科教育，1995年由原广东工学院、广东机械学院和华南建设学院（东院）合并组建而成。

学校本部坐落于中国南方名城广州，拥有大学城、东风路、龙洞、番禺、沙河、揭阳等多个校区，校园占地总面积5300余亩，环境优美。

目前，学校共设有25个学院、2个公共课教学部(中心)、12个研究机构。工程学、材料科学、计算机科学、化学、环境科学与生态学、农学、社会科学总论等7个学科进入ESI全球学科排名前1%行列。学校拥有本科专业92个、一级学科博士学位授权点12个、一级学科硕士学位授权点25个。

Guangdong University of Technology is a provincial key university and a key construction university of high-level universities in Guangdong Province, which mainly focuses on engineering and integrates engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, art and education, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It began to offer undergraduate education in 1958 and was established in 1995 through the merger of the former Guangdong Institute of Technology, Guangdong Institute of Machinery and South China Institute of Technology (East Campus). The main campus of the university is located in Guangzhou, a famous city in southern China. It has multiple campuses including University Town, Dongfeng Road, Longdong, Panyu, Shahe and Jieyang. The total area of the campus is over 5,300 mu, with a beautiful environment. 

At present, the school has a total of 25 colleges, 2 public course teaching departments (centers), and 12 research institutions. Seven disciplines, namely engineering, materials science, computer science, chemistry, environmental science and ecology, agriculture, and Social Sciences in General, have entered the top 1% of the ESI global subject rankings. The university offers 92 undergraduate programs, 12 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, and 25 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points.

01本科生

1. 身心健康、品行端正的外国公民，具有相当于中国普通高中毕业学历；无违法犯罪记录。在华学习期间自愿遵守中国法律法规和学校校纪校规，尊重中国的社会公德和风俗习惯，不从事与学生身份不符的一切活动。

2. 提交以下申请材料（包括但不限于）：

（1）一年以上有效期的外国人普通护照或目前使用的有效在华签证。

（2）高中毕业证书；应届生可提供就读高中出具的预毕业证明，入学前未取得毕业证书者，录取资格取消。

（3）高中完整学习阶段成绩单原件（英文或中文版成绩单原件或公证件）。

（4）上一教育阶段在华学习的申请者需提供在校表现证明。

（5）体检报告（检查结果须有有效公章，有效期6个月）。

（6）另有通知需补充的材料。

3. 截至2026年8月31日年满18周岁。未满18周岁的申请人，需提交在华有效监护人保证书。

4. 汉语水平

（1）申请中文授课理工类专业者，需达到HSK四级180分及以上；申请中文授课人文社科类含艺术类专业，需达到HSK五级180分及以上，证书须在有效期内。上一学历教育阶段使用汉语学习的申请人，提交就读学校出具的中文授课相关证明，经我校认定后，可免提交HSK成绩。

（2）汉语水平未达到要求者可以申请参加我校的汉语言培训，汉语水平达到要求后，再申请进入专业学院学习。

5. 英语水平

母语非英语的英文授课项目申请者需提供英语水平证明，TOEFL须达到80分及以上，IELTS须达到5.5分及以上，证书须在有效期内；不能提供标准化英语水平证明的，需参加并通过学校组织的英语测试。

6. 华裔背景要求

根据《教育部关于规范我高等学校接受国际学生有关工作的通知》（教外函〔2020〕12 号），申请人父母双方或一方为中国公民或从中国大陆（内地）、香港、澳门和台湾移民外国后取得外国国籍的，须入籍4年（含）以上，且最近4年（截至入学年度的4月30日前）之内有在外国实际居住2年以上的记录（一年中实际在外国居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）。

--原为中国公民，后加入外国国籍者，需提供：

（1）中国国籍退籍证明。

（2）加入外国国籍证明。

（3）2022年4月30日至2025年4月30日间护照出入境签章记录。

--在外国出生即取得外国国籍的申请人，父母双方或一方为中国公民的，需提供：

（1）申请人出生即取得外国国籍证明。

（2）申请人出生前父母（中国公民方）在外国的永久居留证明，如无法提供，则需提供申请人本人的退籍证明。

（3）2022年4月30日至2026年4月30日间护照出入境签章记录。

申请人在申请、录取及入学后等各阶段未能通过中国公安机关出入境管理部门国籍认定的，将取消申请资格、录取资格、入学资格或予以退学处理。

01Undergraduate

1. Be a foreign citizen with sound physical and mental health, good conduct, and an educational background equivalent to Chinese senior high school graduation; have no criminal record.

While studying in China, voluntarily abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as university rules and disciplines, respect Chinese social morals and customs, and refrain from any activities inconsistent with student status.

2. Required Application Documents (including but not limited to):
(1) Valid ordinary passport (with at least one year of validity) or current valid Chinese visa.
(2) High school graduation certificate. Prospective graduates may provide a pre-graduation certificate from their high school; failure to obtain the graduation certificate before enrollment will result in cancellation of admission.
(3) Original high school academic transcripts for the entire study period (original or notarized copy in English or Chinese).
(4) For applicants who have previously studied in China, a proof of school performance is required.
(5) Physical examination report (results must bear a valid official seal and be valid for 6 months).
(6) Other supplementary materials if requested by further notice.

3. Age Requirement

Applicants must be at least 18 years old by August 31, 2026. Applicants under 18 must submit a valid Guardian's Guarantee Statement in China.

4. Chinese Language Proficiency
(1) For Chinese-taught programs in Science and Engineering: HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above. For Chinese-taught programs in Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts: HSK Level 5 with a score of 180 or above. The HSK certificate must be valid. Applicants whose previous degree was taught in Chinese may submit proof of Chinese as the medium of instruction from their previous school; upon the university's approval, HSK certificates can be exempted.
(2) Applicants who do not meet the Chinese proficiency requirements may apply for Chinese language training at the university. They can apply for academic programs after meeting the required Chinese proficiency.

5. English Language Proficiency

For non-native English speakers applying for English-taught programs: provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL iBT 80 or above / IELTS 5.5 or above, valid certificate). Those unable to provide standardized test scores must take and pass an English test organized by the university.

6. Requirements for Applicants of Chinese Heritage

According to the Notice of the Ministry of Education on Regulating the Admission of International Students by Higher Education Institutions (Jiao Wai Han [2020] No. 12), if both or one of the applicant's parents is a Chinese citizen or a foreign national who obtained foreign citizenship after emigrating from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan, the applicant must have held the foreign citizenship for at least 4 years and have a record of actual residence abroad for at least 2 years within the last 4 years (prior to April 30 of the enrollment year). Residence of 9 months in a year counts as one year, based on entry and exit stamps.

-- For applicants who were former Chinese citizens and subsequently obtained foreign citizenship, provide:
(1) Proof of withdrawal from Chinese nationality.
(2) Proof of acquisition of foreign citizenship.
(3) Passport entry/exit stamp records from April 30, 2022, to April 30, 2025.

-- For applicants who acquired foreign citizenship at birth, and both or one parent is a Chinese citizen, provide:
(1) Proof that the applicant acquired foreign citizenship at birth.
(2) Proof of permanent residence abroad of the parent(s) (the Chinese citizen side) before the applicant's birth. If this cannot be provided, the applicant must submit their own proof of withdrawal from Chinese nationality.
(3) Passport entry/exit stamp records from April 30, 2022, to April 30, 2026.

If an applicant fails the nationality verification by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Chinese public security authorities during any stage (application, admission, or after enrollment), their application, admission, or enrollment will be cancelled, or they will be dismissed.

02研究生

1. 身心健康、品行端正的外国公民。硕士研究生申请者需具有与中国学士学位相当的学位，博士研究生申请者需具有与中国硕士学位相当的学位；无违法犯罪记录。在华学习期间自愿遵守中国法律法规和学校校纪校规，尊重中国的社会公德和风俗习惯，不从事与学生身份不符的一切活动。

2. 提交以下申请材料（包括但不限于）：

（1）一年以上有效期的外国人普通护照或目前使用的有效在华签证。

（2）最高学历证书（原件及中文或英文公证件）。应届毕业生可提供就读大学出具的预毕业证明，入学前未取得毕业证书者，录取资格取消。

（3）最高学历学校提供的完整学习阶段官方成绩单（原件及中文或英文公证件）。

（4）个人陈述和简要的研究计划 (800字以内），博士研究生申请者另需提交简要的研究经历。

（5）两份副教授或相应职称以上推荐信。

（6）上一教育阶段在华学习的申请者需提供在校表现证明。

（7）拟申请专业研究生导师出具的预同意接收函。尚未确定预接收导师且符合申请条件的，按照学校研究生招生相关规定，进入面试及考核流程。

（8）体检报告（检查结果须有有效公章，有效期6个月）。

（9）另有通知需补充的材料。

3. 汉语水平

（1）申请中文授课理工类专业者，需达到HSK四级180分及以上；申请中文授课人文社科类含艺术类专业，需达到HSK五级180分及以上，证书须在有效期内。上一学历教育阶段使用汉语学习的申请人，提交就读学校出具的中文授课相关证明，经我校认定后，可免提交HSK成绩。

（2）汉语水平未达到要求者可以申请参加我校的汉语言培训，汉语水平达到学校要求后，再申请进入专业学院学习。

4. 英语水平

02Graduate Student

1.Be a foreign citizen with sound physical and mental health and good conduct.

Master's degree applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Chinese bachelor's degree. Doctoral degree applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Chinese master's degree.

Have no criminal record.

While studying in China, voluntarily abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as university rules and disciplines, respect Chinese social morals and customs, and refrain from any activities inconsistent with student status.

2. Required Application Documents (including but not limited to):
(1) Valid ordinary passport (with at least one year of validity) or current valid Chinese visa.
(2) Highest academic qualification certificate (original and notarized Chinese or English translation). Prospective graduates may provide a pre-graduation certificate from their university; failure to obtain the graduation certificate before enrollment will result in cancellation of admission.
(3) Official complete academic transcripts for the highest degree program (original and notarized Chinese or English translation).
(4) Personal statement and brief research plan (within 800 words). Doctoral applicants must additionally submit a summary of their research experience.
(5) Two recommendation letters from associate professors or scholars of higher academic rank.
(6) For applicants who have previously studied in China, a proof of school performance is required.
(7) Pre-acceptance letter from a prospective supervisor in the intended program. Applicants who have not secured a prospective supervisor but meet the application criteria will enter the interview and assessment process according to the relevant regulations of the university's graduate admissions.
(8) Physical examination report (results must bear a valid official seal and be valid for 6 months).
(9) Other supplementary materials if requested by further notice.

3. Chinese Language Proficiency

(1) Applicants for Chinese-taught Science and Engineering programs must have passed HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs in Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts must have passed HSK Level 5 with a score of 180 or above. The HSK certificate must be valid. Applicants who completed their previous degree program with Chinese as the medium of instruction may submit a relevant certificate issued by their previous institution and, upon verification by the university, be exempted from submitting HSK results.

(2) Applicants who do not meet the Chinese language proficiency requirements may apply for Chinese language training at the university. They may apply for academic program admission after meeting the university's Chinese language requirements.

4. English Language Proficiency

Non-native English speakers applying for English-taught programs must provide proof of English proficiency, with a TOEFL iBT score of 80 or above, or an IELTS score of 5.5 or above. Applicants unable to provide standardized English test scores must take and pass a language test organized by the university.

5. Requirements for Applicants of Chinese Heritage

(1) Proof of withdrawal from Chinese nationality.
(2) Proof of acquisition of foreign citizenship.
(3) Passport entry/exit stamp records from April 30, 2022, to April 30, 2026.

-- For applicants who acquired foreign citizenship at birth, and both or one parent is a Chinese citizen, provide:
(1) Proof that the applicant acquired foreign citizenship at birth.
(2) Proof of permanent residence abroad of the parent(s) (the Chinese citizen side) before the applicant's birth. If this cannot be provided, the applicant must submit proof of their own withdrawal from Chinese nationality.
(3) Passport entry/exit stamp records from April 30, 2022, to April 30, 2026.

If an applicant fails the nationality verification conducted by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Chinese public security authorities during any stage (application, admission, or after enrollment), their application, admission, or enrollment eligibility will be revoked, or they will be required to withdraw from the university.

03汉语言培训生

1.身心健康、品行端正的外国公民；无违法犯罪记录。年龄未满18周岁（截至当年入学时）者，需提供在华有效监护人保证书。在华学习期间自愿遵守中国法律法规和学校校纪校规，尊重中国的社会公德和风俗习惯，不从事与学生身份不符的一切活动。

2.提交以下申请材料（包括但不限于）：

（1）一年以上有效期的外国人普通护照或目前使用的有效在华签证。

（2）最高学历证书和完整学习阶段的成绩单（原件及中文或英文公证件）。

（3）体检报告（检查结果须有有效公章，有效期6个月）。

（4）另有通知需补充的材料。

03Chinese language trainee

1.Be a foreign citizen with sound physical and mental health and good conduct; have no criminal record. Applicants under 18 years of age (as of the enrollment date) must provide a valid Guardian's Guarantee Statement in China. While studying in China, they must voluntarily abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as university rules and disciplines, respect Chinese social morals and customs, and refrain from any activities inconsistent with student status.

2.Submit the following application documents (including but not limited to):
(1) Valid ordinary passport (with at least one year of validity) or current valid Chinese visa.
(2) Highest academic qualification certificate and complete academic transcripts for the corresponding stage of study (original and notarized Chinese or English translation).
(3) Physical examination report (results must bear a valid official seal and be valid for 6 months).
(4) Other supplementary materials if requested by further notice.

汉语言培训学习项目有1个月、2个月、1学期和1年等常规类型和定制类课程；在华汉语言培训学习时间最长不超过2年。

The Chinese language training and learning programs include regular types such as 1-month, 2-month, 1-semester and 1-year courses, as well as customized courses. The maximum duration of Chinese language training and study in China shall not exceed two years.

01学费和申请费

Tuition fees and application fees

国际学生的收费等以人民币计价，收费政策有调整的将另行通知。

International students' fees and other charges are denominated in RMB. Any adjustments to the charging policies will be notified separately.

备注：

1. 申请者最多可申请2个学习项目，按申请项目数缴纳申请费。无论录取与否，申请费不可退还。

2. 课本等学习资料费据实收取。

3. 定制类项目收费标准结合课程实际另外制定。

Note: 

1. Applicants can apply for a maximum of two study programs and pay the application fee according to the number of programs applied for. Whether admitted or not, the application fee is non-refundable. 

2. The cost of textbooks and other learning materials will be charged based on actual expenses. 

3. The charging standards for customized projects will be formulated separately based on the actual situation of the courses.

02住宿费

Accommodation fee

校内住宿

国际学生校内住宿需经预约申请，校内住宿将根据学生所学项目就近校区分配。校内住宿押金1,500/人，退宿时宿舍设施无损坏予以退还。住宿费不含校园无线网络、床上用品、水、电等。

International students need to make an application for on-campus accommodation. On-campus accommodation will be allocated to the nearest campus based on the students' study programs. A deposit of 1,500 yuan per person for on-campus accommodation will be refunded upon check-out if the dormitory facilities are undamaged. The accommodation fee does not include campus Wi-Fi, bedding, water, electricity, etc.

校外住宿

国际学生校外住宿需经报备程序，签署相关承诺书。在到达住宿地（宾馆除外）24小时内，到属地派出所开具临时住宿登记证明。校外居住的国际学生凭有效临时住宿登记，方可办理入学及签证手续。

International students living off campus need to go through the registration process and sign relevant commitment letters. Within 24 hours of arriving at the accommodation (except for hotels), go to the local police station to obtain a temporary accommodation registration certificate. International students living off campus can only go through the enrollment and visa procedures with a valid temporary accommodation registration.

03其他费用

Other expenses

1. 保险费

学校实行国际学生全员保险制度。未按规定购买保险的，限期投保；逾期不投保的，学校不予录取。已在校学习的，予以退学或不予注册。国际学生未按要求投保的，期间发生任何意外伤害或医疗事故，一切责任自负。

1. The school implements a comprehensive insurance system for all international students. Those who fail to purchase insurance as required shall be ordered to do so within a prescribed time limit. Those who fail to take out insurance within the prescribed time limit will not be admitted by the school. Those who are already studying at school will be expelled or not registered. International students who fail to take out insurance as required shall bear all responsibilities for any accidental injury or medical malpractice that occurs during this period.

2. 体检费、签证费

体检和签证或居留申请等相关费用等由相关机构据实收取。

2. The physical examination fee, visa fee, and other related expenses for physical examinations, visa or residence applications, etc. will be charged by the relevant institutions based on actual costs.

01申请时间

1. 本科生、研究生

截止日期为2026年7月15日。

2. 汉语言培训生

常年开放招生。

02录取时间

学校将根据申请及面试情况，分批次录取并通知申请结果。

The school will admit students in batches based on the application and interview results and notify them of the application outcomes.

03报到注册

学历新生注册报到时间为2026年8月下旬至9月上旬，具体请查阅录取通知书。汉语言学习项目新生注册报到时间请查阅录取通知书。

新生报到时需携带齐全报到材料原件，包括个人普通护照原件、录取通知书及签证申请表原件（JW202/DQ）及入境学生签证。新生入学时需携带所要求的中文或英文学位证和成绩单原件或公证件原件供学校复核入学资格。如在本国进行过身体检查，请携带所有体检材料原件。申请材料弄虚作假、未经批准逾期不报到或其他不符合入学条件者，取消入学资格。

The registration and check-in period for new academic students is from late August to early September 2026. For specific details, please refer to the admission notice. The registration and check-in time for new students of the Chinese Language Learning Program can be found in the admission notice. 

New students are required to bring the original copies of all registration materials when reporting for duty, including the original personal ordinary passport, the original admission notice and visa application form (JW202/DQ), as well as the entry student visa. New students are required to bring the original or notarized copies of their Chinese or English degree certificates and transcripts as required for the school to review their admission qualifications upon enrollment. If you have undergone a physical examination in your home country, please bring the original copies of all the examination materials. Those who provide false application materials, fail to report on time without approval, or do not meet other admission requirements will have their admission qualifications revoked.

学历生新生奖学金(Scholarship)

学业优秀、具备领导才能或特殊才能的国际学生，可申请广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金。

International students with outstanding academic performance, leadership skills or special talents can apply for the Guangdong Provincial Government's Scholarship for International Students in Guangdong.
