On 10 June 2025, AustCham China attended the 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum & Exhibition (IIICF) at the invitation of China International Contractors Association (CHINCA). AustCham China Chair Vaughn Barber and COO Nathan Hou engaged in discussions with CHINCA and leading Chinese firms regarding international infrastructure cooperation.
2025年6月10日，应中国对外承包工程商会邀请，中国澳大利亚商会（简称：中澳商会）出席了在澳门举行的第16届国际基础设施投资与建设高峰论坛。中澳商会会长冯栢文先生与首席运营官侯尧宸先生共同参加了此次论坛，并与承包商会及来自中国建筑、工程、建材等行业的重点企业代表就国际基建合作进行了深入交流。

During the forum, AustCham China co-hosted the "China-Australia Modular Construction Roundtable" with CHINCA. The roundtable drew participation from major Chinese modular and prefabricated construction companies.
作为本届论坛的重要配套活动之一，中国澳大利亚商会与承包商会联合主办了“中澳模块化建筑圆桌会议”，吸引了多家在模块化、预制建筑领域具有代表性的中资企业参与。
New Opportunities in Australia's Housing Market
聚焦澳大利亚住房市场新机遇
At the roundtable, AustCham China, referencing its 2025 Doing Business in China report, highlighted Australia's housing shortage; with a government target of 1.2 million new homes by 2029, modular and prefabricated construction were underscored as critical for addressing cost, efficiency, and sustainability.
圆桌会议上，中澳商会分享了《2025年中澳企业经贸合作现状与展望调查报告》中的核心观点：当前，澳大利亚正面临严重住房短缺压力，政府计划于2029年前建设120万套新住房，模块化与装配式建筑被视为解决成本、工期和环保挑战的关键路径。
Chinese Enterprises Explore Collaborative Pathways
中国企业积极探索合作路径
Proactive in exploring Australia's housing market, Chinese construction companies showcased solutions spanning digital construction, prefabricated systems, industrialized non-standard components, and green energy efficiency. They highlighted interest in partnerships through technology exports, localized production, and joint investments.
会上，多家中国建筑企业展示了在数字建造、装配式系统、异形构件工业化、绿色节能等领域的解决方案，表达了通过技术输出、本地化生产、联合投资等方式参与澳大利亚住房市场建设的强烈意愿。
Complementary Strengths, Promising Cooperation
中澳优势互补、合作可期
Mr. Barber pointed out that Australia has a clear demand for housing and established financing mechanisms, while Chinese enterprises possess mature technological capabilities and strong industry synergies. There is significant potential for cooperation between the two sides in the field of modular construction. Going forward, AustCham China will work together with CHINCA to promote the development of more practical cooperation models by focusing on key issues such as standards and certification, labor permits, joint venture mechanisms, and market access.
冯栢文会长指出，澳大利亚拥有明确的住房需求和融资机制，中国企业则具备成熟的技术能力与产业协同优势，双方在模块化建筑领域合作潜力巨大。下一步，商会将联合承包商会，围绕标准认证、用工许可、合资机制、市场准入等关键问题，推动建立更具实操性的合作模式。
