Celebrating a Legacy: YCIS Beijing Marks 30th Anniversary

We were proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary during a special Founder’s Day ceremony, a landmark event that also honoured our founder, Madam Tsang Chor-hang.

The 30th anniversary ceremony served as a testament to our three-decade-long commitment to fostering academic excellence and shaping future-ready global citizens. We were honoured to welcome a distinguished gathering of guests, including government dignitaries, ambassadors, and community leaders, to celebrate this significant milestone with us.

Dr. Esther Chan, Deputy CEO of the Yew Chung Yew Wah Education Network, and Dr. Zhao, Regional Director for East Asia, Cambridge Assessment International Education delivered inspiring addresses that reflected on the school’s legacy and its forward-looking vision.

Our school celebration was a vibrant display of student talent, featuring a captivating array of musical and dance performances. The programme was wonderfully diverse, ranging from insightful STEM demonstrations to beautiful solo pieces, a stirring string quartet, choir performances, and an energetic Kazakh dance. The sense of pride and community was palpable across all year groups, culminating in inspiring student-led exhibitions on the stage. An inspiring alumni speech further connected our education approaches with the promising future it brought. A particular highlight was a stunning student rendition of " The Ballad of Mulan". This masterpiece performance, perfectly adapted by our Performing Arts team, encapsulated the spirit of culture and artistry, a powerful and inspiring closing act for a milestone celebration.

Complementing the performances, the Mission Marketplace exhibition allowed students to demonstrate innovative projects aligned with the school’s core educational pillars: Science and Technology, Love and Charity, and Culture and the Arts.

Above all, the true success of the event lay in the immense effort happening behind the scenes. 

We took this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our professional and loyal staff, who have dedicated so much time and effort to shaping the school over the last 15 years. We are excited to continue building a prosperous future with each and every one of you.

We wholeheartedly echo the sentiments of Jenny Chu, the Chinese President of our Parent Organisation, who said: "Thank you for your immense dedication and hard work in creating such a wonderful and memorable celebration for our community. This event would not have been possible without your steadfast support. "

The day truly proved that community is what brings us together. As our School Leadership Team (SLT) emphasised, " We are deeply moved by the entire YCIS Beijing community—students, staff, parents, and alumni—who came together to make this 30th anniversary so memorable. This milestone is a celebration of every individual who has been part of our journey."

Finally, " Founder's Day was not only a celebration of our past 30 years but also a vibrant launch into our future. The incredible talent and innovative spirit displayed by our students confirm that we are preparing the next generation of leaders to make a positive impact on the world. " Our SLT has shared a clear and inspiring vision for the path ahead, a vision made possible by our strong foundations.

Having served as a cornerstone of the Beijing international community for thirty years, we look forward to continuing our legacy of empowering future leaders with a foundation of academic excellence and strong character. This milestone marks both a culmination of our achievements and the start of a promising new era.

当楚珩日的温暖氛围与三十载的教育荣光相遇，注定成为一段难忘的记忆。我们满怀自豪，在这一承载着特殊意义的日子里，隆重庆祝北京耀中成立30周年 —— 这不仅是学校发展史上的里程碑时刻，更是对创始人曾楚珩女士教育初心的深切致敬，对其为教育事业倾注心血的崇高礼赞。

30 年栉风沐雨，30 年笃行不怠。北京耀中始终坚守 “培养学术卓越人才、塑造面向未来全球公民” 这一核心承诺，在教育之路上步履铿锵。此次 30 周年庆典，我们荣幸邀请到政府官员、各国大使及行业意见领袖等众多重要嘉宾莅临，共同汇聚于此，让这份荣耀在多元力量的汇聚中愈发璀璨，携手见证北京耀中的荣耀与梦想。

耀中耀华教育网络副行政执行总裁陈昕生博士、剑桥大学国际考评部东亚区赵静博士先后发表鼓舞人心的演讲。她们深情回顾学校一路走来的光辉历程，从初心萌芽到枝叶繁茂，每一段历程都饱含温度；同时，她们也满怀憧憬地展望了学校的未来愿景，为北京耀中勾勒出一幅充满无限可能的宏伟蓝图。

学校的庆祝活动，堪称学生才华的生动缩影。从兼具洞察力与创意的 STEM 演示，到舞台上音乐与舞蹈交织成灵动的乐章：优雅的钢琴独奏、动人心弦的弦乐四重奏，饱含力量的合唱团演出，还有异国风情的哈萨克族舞蹈点燃全场。各个年级的同学们，脸上洋溢着难掩的自豪感，满满的集体归属感和骄傲扑面而来。而由学生自主策划的展览，更是将这份热烈氛围推向了高潮。同时，一场振奋人心的校友演讲，更是如同一座桥梁，将学校独特的教育方法与学子们所取得的辉煌成就紧密相连。活动的压轴亮点，当属学生们对《花木兰》的全新演绎。我校表演艺术团队以匠心改编这一经典作品，用精湛的舞台呈现诠释文化底蕴与艺术魅力，为这场意义非凡的里程碑式庆典，画上了圆满且动人的句号。

此外，作为庆典的重要组成部分，“三结盟”实践展格外引人注目。学生们带来的一系列创新项目集中亮相，每一份作品都生动践行着学校 “与科技结盟、与文艺结盟、与仁爱结盟” 的核心使命，让教育的实践力量与创新精神在此充分彰显。

最重要的是，此次活动的圆满成功，实则源于幕后那无数不为人知的辛勤付出与巨大努力。

在此，我们满怀诚挚与敬意，向那些专业且坚守岗位已经超过15年的工作人员致以最深切的感谢。在此期间，他们不辞辛劳，将自己的青春与精力倾注于学校的建设与发展之中。我们深感荣幸，并满怀期待，愿能与每一位携手并肩，共同构筑一个更加繁荣美好的未来。

同时，我们也衷心对家委会主席Jenny Chu女士对学校工作的肯定表示感谢，她说：“感谢全校教职工为我们的社区精心策划了如此精彩纷呈、令人难忘的庆祝活动。正是你们无私的奉献与辛勤的工作，让这场活动得以完美呈现。”
