On October 25, Ambassador Huang Shifang introduces the Commemoration Day of Taiwan's Restoration in a cultural event hosted by the Mauritius Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Counselor of the Embassy and Director of the China Cultural Center Mr. Yang Jun, Lord mayor of Port Louis Mr. Aslam Adam Hosenally and members of Chinese Chamber of Commerce attended the event.
In her speech, Ambassador Huang said that this year is the 80th anniversary of Taiwan's restoration to China, The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China recently passed a resolution to designate October 25th of each year as the Commemoration Day of Taiwan's Restoration in China. The Mauritian government has firmly been adhering to the one-China principle, and the Chinese communities in Mauritius long for the complete and early reunification of China. She hopes that the Chinese communities in Mauritius will remember history and firmly support China's reunification while continue to inheriting and promoting traditional Chinese culture.
