On October 27, Overseas Seminar on Artificial Intelligence for Mauritius officially opened. Ambassador Huang Shifang, Hon. Pentiah, Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms of Mauritius, Mr Gui Cheng,Vice Principal of Hunan Vocational College of Foreign Trade, as well as representatives from various Mauritian ministries and seminar participants, totaling over 100 attendees, participated in the ceremony.
In her speech, Ambassador Huang noted that this is the first bilateral training program held in Mauritius. China will share its experience in AI technology applications, industry development, and talent cultivation to support Mauritius in building an innovative digital economy. She expressed hope that Mauritius will soon join the Belt and Road Initiative, further deepening cooperation between the two countries in AI, high-tech, and digital industries to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
Hon. Pentiah expressed gratitude for China’s long-term training support and hoped that future cooperation in talent development, technological innovation, and industrial growth would continue to deepen, further strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries.
The seminar is sponsored by China’s Ministry of Commerce, and organized by Hunan International Business Vocational College. It will run for ten days and is expected to bring together 100 participants from various Mauritian government departments.
