On October 2, the "International Children's Painting Exhibition for Peace" was successfully held at the China Cultural Center in Mauritius. Ambassador Huang Shifang attended the event along with Hon. Mr. Gilles Fabrice David, Junior Minister of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries, and around 150 other guests.
In her speech, Ambassador Huang noted that the world today is facing increasing instability, with rising unilateralism, protectionism, and intensifying geopolitical conflicts. Against this backdrop, the significance of the exhibition becomes all the more evident. She pointed out that on September 3, China commemorated 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, sending a strong message to the world that the Chinese people firmly stand on the right side of history, on the side of human civilization and progress, and remain committed to the path of peaceful development. She empasized that peace is the shared aspiration of all humanity and hoped through the artistic creations of children, this exhibition will convey a message of peace and friendship, and depict a vision of cooperation and unity.
With the theme “Draw the World, Draw the Peace", the exhibition features artworks by children from dozens of countries, including China, Mauritius, the United States, and the United Kingdom etc.
