在本次名为 ”育儿——平等与平衡 共享与共担 ” 的展览中，纪实摄影师埃琳・贝格拍摄并采访了瑞典那些发自内心向往，且主动追求平等的家庭。贝格以自身经历为创作原点：作为育有两个孩子的母亲，她与镜头下的家庭共同演绎着这场充满挑战却意义非凡的平衡之举。

For this exhibition, Parenting – an equal opportunity, documentary photographer Elin Berge has portrayed and interviewed parents in Sweden who strive to live equal lives. Not because they have to, but because they want to. Berge has used her own everyday reality as a starting point: a working mother of two children who, just like the parents in her exhibition, tries to balance career and family. A balancing act that – as rewarding as it may be – also entails challenges.

透过贝格镜头所捕捉到的那些温馨瞬间，我们得以见证这些父母们如何挣脱传统性别角色的桎梏，构建起基于协作与需求的新型伴侣关系。不过童年早期仍是新旧观念激烈碰撞的特殊阶段。瑞典的育儿政策固然为平等提供了一个契机，但要真正实现还需双方共同努力。

Through the intimate moments depicted in Berge’s photographs, we get an insight into the endeavour of these parents to move beyond deep-seated conceptions of male and female roles, towards a partnership based on collaboration and needs. But early childhood is a fragile time filled with slow-dying expectations both from within and from the world around us. The Swedish parental policy may give parents an opportunity, but the actual work they must do together. 

父亲与育儿假  Fathers and parental leave

1974年，瑞典成为全球首个用双亲共享的育儿假期取代母亲产假的国家。当时，瑞典通过将父亲纳入育儿保险，家长每生育一个孩子可共享六个月的育儿假——双方各有一半的休假权。但在1974年，父亲仅使用了0.5%的带薪育儿假。

In 1974, Sweden became the first country in the world to replace gender-specific maternity leave with parental leave for both mothers and fathers. Then, by including fathers in the parental insurance, parents are enabled to take six months off work per child– with each parent entitled to half of the days. But in 1974, only 0.5% of the paid parental leave was taken by fathers.

如今，瑞典的父母们每生育一个孩子可享有480天的带薪育儿假。伴侣双方各享有专属的90天假期，剩余300天可自由分配。目前，瑞典父亲使用了约30%的带薪育儿假。

Now, parents in Sweden are entitled to 480 days of parental leave per child. Ninety days are ear-marked for each parent, while the remaining 300 days can be shared between them in any way they wish. And today, fathers in Sweden take around 30% of the paid parental leave.

埃琳・贝格，生于 1977 年，是一位备受赞誉的摄影师兼电影制作人。多年来，她始终将镜头聚焦于社会规范和权力结构对人们生活的影响。她的创作主要围绕长篇纪实项目展开，涵盖展览、书籍和电影等多个领域。她先前的作品《面纱》（2006）、《女王之地》（2009）、《王国》（2015）以及《觉醒》（2020）在瑞典国内及国际上均引起了广泛关注。贝格也是北欧摄影团体 “瞬间” 的成员，其作品由艺术机构INSTITUTE 代理。

Elin Berge(born 1978) is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker, who for many years has turned her lens on how norms and power structures affect people’s lives. She works primarily on long documentary projects for exhibitions, books and films. Her previous works Slöjor (Veils, 2006), Drottninglandet (The Land of Queens, 2009), Kungariket(The Kingdom, 2015) and Awakening (2020) have garnered much attention both in Sweden and internationally. Berge is a member of the Nordic p.hotography collective Moment and is represented internationally by INSTITUTE artist.
