On August 29, we brought Fredagsbar - a Danish Friday social gathering tradition to Shanghai for a late-summer welcome-back party — and what an evening it was! 🌍🍻
8月29日，我们把 Fredagsbar —— 这一丹麦周五社交传统 —— 带到了上海，为DCCC的嘉宾们举办了一场夏末的欢迎派对。这真是一个难忘的夜晚！🌍🍻
Around 60 guests have joined us: Danish expats and families, Chinese friends, and international guests who are curious to experience the Danish spirit. Over vibrant Spanish BBQ, cold drinks, and lively conversations, we recreated the essence of Fredagsbar: casual, fun, and a place where humor builds community. Most of all, it’s a place where you can joke about your boss — and get away with it.
当晚，大约 60位来宾 出席了活动：包括在华丹麦企业家和家人及学生等、来自中国的朋友，以及对丹麦文化充满好奇的国际嘉宾。大家在充满热带味觉的西班牙BBQ、美味饮品和热烈的交流中，共同体验了 Fredagsbar 的精髓：轻松、欢乐、因幽默愉快凝聚的社区。最重要的是，这是一个你可以开老板玩笑 —— 还能全身而退的地方。
So how does it work? The answer lies in the tradition of Fredagsbar and the Danish way. To reveal this secret, which was the highlight of the night, Thomas Knudsen, General Manager, Greater China, Pandora, has shared stories of “boss-bashing” in Denmark and brought the exact essence of Fredagsbar to life. Besides, guests also heard from Xingling Wei, East Area Manager of DCCC, who reflected on her journey from being a confusing Chinese student in Denmark to embracing this unique tradition.
The Danish art of “boss-bashing” reminded us of that special blend of humor and hygge where honesty, laughter, and togetherness meet.
