The Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, collaboration with the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon, jointly hosted a tourism promotion event on 14 August 2025.
Welcoming the guests, H.E. Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to the People’s Republic of China highlighted the importance of the event in the context of Nepal Visit Year 2025 and the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China.
During the event, Mr. Bikram Pande Kaaji, Chairman of the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon and Honorary Consul of Nepal to Greece, made a presentation on marathon tourism in Nepal. He shed light on historical marathon, its interests among enthusiasts and marathon events in Nepal that supports green initiatives as well.
The program drew around 60 attendees, including Chinese travel and tour operators, members of the Chinese and Nepali communities and media representatives. The event was concluded with a traditional Nepali dinner.
