On 24 October 2025, Consul General Mr. Tanvir Ahmad Bhatti, along with officials from the Consulate, made an official visit to the Sichuan Promotion Association for the Belt and Road Initiative (SCBR) and met with Mr. Li Dongchuan, Secretary General of the Association, and his team.
2025年10月24日，总领事谭维尔先生率领领馆成员拜访四川省一带一路经贸合作促进会，并与促进会秘书长李东川先生及其团队举行会晤。
SCBR, established in 2016, aims to promote extensive cooperation between domestic enterprises and Belt and Road (BRI) countries and regions. It is an international economic and trade organization jointly initiated by large state-owned enterprises, private companies, international business institutions, universities, and think tanks.
四川省一带一路经贸合作促进会成立于2016年，是一个由大型国有企业、民营企业、国际商业机构、高等院校及智库联合发起的国际性经济贸易组织，旨在推动企业与“一带一路”沿线国家和地区的广泛合作。
During the meeting, Mr. Li briefed Mr. Bhatti on the association’s operations and achievements and extended an invitation to the Consulate to participate in and co-host upcoming events and forums. SCBR currently has over 600 members and industry committees across various sectors. It has established partnerships with organizations in more than 30 countries, hosted over 80 international trade events, organized overseas delegations, received around 300 visiting delegates in Sichuan, and supported more than 200 enterprises in global cooperation.
会谈中，李秘书长向总领事先生介绍了协会的运作情况及所取得的成果，并邀请总领事馆参与并联合主办即将举办的相关活动和论坛。目前，协会拥有600余家会员单位，已与30多个国家的机构和企业建立合作伙伴关系，累计承办国际经贸活动80余场，组织政府和企业出国考察团组100余人次，接待境外来川考察团组300余人次，累计服务200余家企业与境内外机构开展全球经贸合作。
Mr. Bhatti thanked Mr. Li and his team for their warm reception and shared an overview of the existing cooperation and potential business opportunities between Pakistan and Sichuan. He also proposed strengthening collaboration between SCBR and the Consulate through regular communication between designated liaison officers and mutual support for joint initiatives.
总领事先生对李秘书长及其团队的热情接待表示感谢，并介绍了巴基斯坦与四川现有的合作关系及潜在商机。他还提议加强促进会与总领事馆之间的合作，通过指定联络人员、定期沟通以及对联合项目的相互支持，进一步深化协作。
双方一致同意保持密切联系，并在未来持续推进务实合作。
