India remained undefeated in the entire tournament including in the Pool stage and in the Super 4s stage. India defeated the defending champions South Korea with a dominating scoreline of 4-1 in the Final match.

Abhishek Nain who scored 6 goals in the tournament and was in a superlative form was awarded with "Player of Tournament" award.

International Hockey Federation (FIH) President Tayyab Ikram remarked: “Congratulations to the Indian men’s team for winning the Hero Asia Cup Rajgir, Bihar 2025 and qualifying for the FIH Hockey World Cup Belgium & Netherlands 2026! The tournament was brilliantly organised, and what truly stood out was the passion of the packed crowds. Fans turned out in huge numbers every single day, filling the stadium with energy and constantly cheering for all 8 teams! Their enthusiasm lifted the players, created an electric atmosphere, and showcased the deep love for hockey in Bihar and across India. On behalf of FIH, my appreciation goes to everyone involved: the athletes, the fans, Asia Hockey, Hockey India, and the Government of Bihar.”
It was a truly proud moment for Indian hockey and Indian sports. This was the 4th time that India has won the Asia Cup with earlier title wins in 2003, 2007, 2017 and now 2025.
