Shanghai, 20 October 2025 – Consul General Myca Magnolia M. Fischer led personnel of the Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai in commending the Filipino Community in Shanghai (FILCOMSHA) as it marks three decades of service to Filipinos in the Chinese financial capital.
FILCOMSHA, an umbrella organization of over 15 Filipino organizations, held its 30th Anniversary at a grand dinner event held on 18 October at the Longemont Hotel in Changning District, with its dynamic President Michelle Teope-Shen hosting.
The atmosphere was electric with Filipino pride and camaraderie as members, past and present, gathered to honor three decades of FILCOMSHA's legacy of unity, service, and bayanihan spirit.
Consul General Fischer led well-wishers that included representatives and partners from business and the consular corps. She commended FILCOMSHA for its vital role as a partner of the Consulate in serving the Filipino diaspora, and recognized its leadership for their vision.
The evening’s highlights included a moving tribute via heartwarming video greetings from former members and partners who have since moved to other parts of the globe.
The Philippine Consulate General once again extends its warmest congratulations to FILCOMSHA and its officers, led by President Michelle Teope-Shen, on this significant milestone. END
