Born from early 20th-century Mexican art, the elegant skeletal couple began as a social satire by printmaker José Guadalupe Posada and later rose to national fame through Diego Rivera’s murals. Today, they stand as timeless symbols of remembrance and joy — a reminder that death is not an end, but a continuation of life’s beauty.
In the spirit of the theme, we encourage all guests to dress in duos—channel your inner Catrina and Catrín with creative interpretations of timeless elegance, bold color, and Mexican flair. Whether through traditional attire, modern style, or artistic makeup, this is your moment to shine together.
