国庆节的英语是：National Day，也可以说：National Day Holiday！

motherland or fatherland?
说到“祖国”，大家一般会想到的词就是 motherland 和 homeland。
《我和我的祖国》英文版的名字也是 My Motherland and Me.
Fatherland也表示祖国，并且Fatherland比Motherland起源更早，12世纪早期就有记载出现了，源自拉丁语pater，即father的意思。fatherland强调社会属性。

motherland强调自然属性，强调先天的血缘和民族认同。
I love my motherland deeply.
比fatherland和motherland出现的晚，大约在16世纪晚期，更强调domestic的内涵，区分于foreign。

motherland 和 fatherland 有积极的情感色彩，毕竟都将祖国比喻成父亲母亲了，爱国之情肯定是不浅。homeland 则比较中性。
