There is the northernmost post office in China, of which Beiji Village in Mohe City is the northernmost town near the river in Chinese Mainland and the best place to watch the northern lights and the wonders of the white night in China.
The best time to watch the aurora in Mohe is from September to April of the following year, especially from November to March of the following year. The nine days before and after the summer solstice (June 15-25) are also an excellent time to observe the aurora.
Besides Mohe, auroras can sometimes be seen in some high latitude areas of Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia in northern China.

Once you arrive in Mohe, the best way to explore the dispersed attractions is by booking a private car or joining a small tour group.
Here is a popular 3-day, 2-night route that covers the highlights:
Day 1: From Mohe to Beihong Village
After being picked up from the train station or airport, your northward journey begins.
White Birch Forest: Walk through a fairytale-like forest of snow-dusted white birch trees.
Wusuli Shoal & the "Most Northern Point": Stand on the symbolic landmark that marks the country's northern extremity and take that classic photo.
Stay Overnight in Beihong Village: Experience a quieter, more rustic village than the popular Arctic Village. It's a great place to stargaze on a clear night.
Day 2: From Beihong Village to Arctic Village
Morning Activities: Try the photogenic tradition of "throwing water to make ice" and experience a fun dog sled or horse-drawn sleigh ride.
Travel through the Forest: Journey through the vast, pristine Taiga forests of the Greater Khingan Range.
Arctic Village (Bei Ji Cun): Explore China's premier northern tourist spot. Key sites include the Most Northern Post Office (send a postcard with a unique postmark!), the Most Northern Sentinel Post, and various "northernmost" landmarks.
Christmas Village: Visit this festive-themed park, home to the world's northernmost Santa Claus.
Day 3: Arctic Village back to Mohe Town
