Job Responsibilities

Confirm all shipment information with the origin to initiate shipment; -
Receive and validate customer orders, including shipping documents, credit applications, etc.; -
Review and update fees, customer profiles, SOPs, and rates according to quotes or customer SOPs/work instructions; -
Arrange shipments from A to Z according to the timeline and customer requirements in the most efficient and compliant way; -
Verify shipment status, review pre-alerts, and confirm shipment handling instructions with operations; -
Serve as a liaison between various internal and external parties regarding shipment details and/or exceptions; -
Communicate and resolve any issues that arise in the movement of products; -
Oversee and ensure proper tracking and tracing of shipments, keeping customers well-informed of updates; -
Bill on time and avoid unnecessary charges, such as demurrage, detention, and unneeded exam fees.
Job Requirements
Proven experience in ocean freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations;
Strong knowledge of ocean shipping processes, documentation, and Incoterms;
Ability to coordinate end-to-end shipments in a timely and compliant manner;
Familiarity with customs regulations, pre-alerts, and shipment tracking systems;
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy;
Effective communication skills to liaise with customers, carriers, and internal teams;
Strong problem-solving skills to handle exceptions and resolve shipment issues;
Ability to ensure accurate billing and control costs to avoid unnecessary charges (e.g., demurrage, detention);
Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
