Musical Harmony in Western and Eastern
Jeff Lorber × Yang Ce
The cross-border adventure of four hands playing together
When the legendary American fusion jazz musician Jeff Lorber
met Charles Yang Ce, the "Six-Fingered Piano Wizard" from China, a conversation about piano keys began quietly.
Lorber, the Grammy Award winner for Best Instrumental Album, creates the rhythm of urban jazz with Funk and R&B; while Yang Ce, a representative figure of the fusion of contemporary Chinese jazz and electronic music, each of his improvisations carries an Eastern charm.
This time,
Using four hands, create an international improvisational epic - a blend of jazz logic and Eastern poetry.
"This is a discussion about"
"An experiment on rhythm, breathing and trust."
看点二 · 中国首演
Marta Pereira da Costa
The fado music from Lisbon
She was the first woman in the world to play the Portuguese guitar professionally.
Her name is Marta Pereira da Costa.
At her fingertips, Fado is no longer just a melancholic song;
instead, it becomes a soulful voyage that combines jazz, world music and Brazilian rhythms. From the small table concerts on NPR to the Lincoln Center, Marta uses the sound of the piano to speak for Lisbon - gentle, resilient, independent, passionate.
This will be her first performance in China.
When the sea breeze from Portugal blows towards Yangcheng Lake, the soul of Fado will also flow in the night air of Suzhou.

NaraBara
Nomadic electronic soul
The electronic band NaraBara from the Mongolian grasslands will bring you a sonic journey about "nomadism" and "the future".
"Nara" means "sun", and "Bara" means "shadow" - their music is like the flowing of light and shadow.
The creative team Yider and Asr combined the chanting of Mongolian folk songs with the original rhythms of African instruments such as Ngoni, Kora, and Guembri, creating an electronic jazz unique to the grasslands.
Their album "Hamt Zamin Humus"
Selected for NetEase Cloud's "Top 20 Most Influential Albums of the 21st Century (20s)" category. "We use music to carry forward the wisdom of our ancestors and bring traditional elements new life."
The live performance of NaraBara is a blend of tribal energy and electronic improvisation -
mysterious, passionate, like a breeze sweeping across the earth.

丛林野蝶
Jungle Butterfly
The electronic wave from Chongqing
The electronic musician from Chongqing, Jungle Wild Butterfly, is one of the most visually impactful and experimentally minded figures in China's independent music scene.
Her works blend Synth-pop, electronic music and dialect rap, featuring both the intensity of Chongqing and the dreamlike floatiness.
Her stage is an illusion of sound and light;
Her performance is the resonance between the body and the rhythm.
"Quiet as a maiden, yet lively as a mad hare."
In the music of the jungle wild butterflies, there lies the contradictions and romance of this generation of young people.
That kind of energy of "wanting to break free from the city but reluctant to part with the lights" will burn completely at the concert.
看点五 · 巴西梦
Tulipa Ruiz
From the tropical poetry of Brazil
The last one is a solo female artist from Brazil - Tulipa Ruiz.
Her voice is like the tropical breeze, and also like a gentle rain.
She is renowned for her works such as "Efemera", "Do Amor", and "Pedrinho". Using Brazilian rhythms, indie pop, and poetic female narratives, she tells stories about love, loneliness, and growth.
Tulipa is an independent symbol in the Latin American music scene. Her live performances are gentle, lively and free, like a delicate tropical dream.
Epilogue
A cross-cultural jazz resonance
From the United States to Portugal,
From Mongolia to Chongqing,
From Brazil to Suzhou —
This music festival brings together the freest sounds in the world.
Some people say that jazz is not merely a style,
but a way of life.
The Montreux Jazz Festival China in 2025,
is precisely responding to the most profound questions of this era through music -
"Even in a world so noisy, how can we freely listen?"
