올해는 세계에서 가장 과학적이고 독창적인 문자로 인정받는 훈민정음이 반포된 지 579돌을 맞이하는 뜻깊은 해입니다. MISQ 초등부에서는 이 소중한 날을 기념하고자 지난 10월 9일, 특별한 한글날 행사를 진행했습니다. 세계 속에서 한국이 문화 강국으로 우뚝 설 수 있었던 주된 이유 중 하나가 바로 한글의 우수성 덕분인데요.
이날 행사 1부에서는 학생들이 한글의 과학적인 창제 원리와 뛰어난 실용성을 깊이 있게 배우고, 그 안에 담긴 세종대왕님의 백성을 향한 깊고 뜨거운 사랑을 다시 한번 가슴에 새기는 의미 있는 시간을 가졌습니다.
이어서 2부에서는 한글날을 기념하는 백일장이 열렸습니다. 초등학교 저학년 학생들은 세종대왕님께 감사의 마음을 담은 편지를 정성껏 써 내려갔고, 고학년 학생들은 우리의 자랑스러운 한글과 한글을 만드신 세종대왕님의 이야기를 외국 친구나 선생님들께 소개하는 편지를 작성하며 한글의 아름다움과 가치를 알리는 데 참여했습니다.
이번 활동을 통해 우리 MISQ 초등부 학생들은 한글의 우수성을 마음껏 느끼고, 앞으로 한글을 더욱 사랑하고 소중히 사용하겠다는 다짐을 하게 되었습니다.
This year marks the 579th anniversary of the proclamation of Hunminjeongeum, a truly significant year for us as it celebrates Hangeul, widely recognized as the most scientific and original writing system in the world and a great legacy of our people. To commemorate this precious day, MISQ Elementary School held a special Hangeul Day event on October 9th. One of the main reasons Korea has emerged as a cultural powerhouse globally is undoubtedly due to the excellence of Hangeul.
In the first part of the event, students had a meaningful opportunity to deeply learn about the scientific principles behind Hangeul's creation and its outstanding practicality. They also reaffirmed in their hearts the profound and passionate love of King Sejong for his people, which is embodied within Hangeul.
Following this, the second part of the event featured a writing contest to celebrate Hangeul Day. Younger elementary students meticulously wrote letters expressing their gratitude to King Sejong, while older students participated in promoting the beauty and value of Hangeul by writing letters to foreign friends or teachers, introducing them to our proud Hangeul and the story of King Sejong, who created it.
Through these activities, our MISQ Elementary School students wholeheartedly experienced the excellence of Hangeul and made a commitment to cherish and use Hangeul with even greater love and care in the future.
今年是意义非凡的一年，我们迎来了训民正音颁布的第579周年。训民正音被公认为我们民族的伟大遗产，也是世界上最具科学性和独创性的文字。为了纪念这个珍贵的日子，MISQ小学于10月9日成功举办了一场特别的韩语日庆祝活动。
韩国之所以能屹立于世界文化强国之林，韩语的优越性是其中一个主要原因。在当天活动的第一部分，同学们深刻感受到了作为民族宝贵财富的韩语的优越性，更让大家体会到了世宗大王创造韩语对韩国百姓的深沉而炽热的爱与智慧，大家度过了非常有意义的时光。
紧接着的第二部分，我们举办了韩语日写作比赛。小学低年级学生们用心写下了感谢世宗大王的信件，高年级学生们则书写了向外国朋友或老师介绍我们引以为傲的韩语以及创造韩语的世宗大王的故事的信件，积极参与到传播韩语之美和价值的活动中。
通过这次活动，我们MISQ小学的同学们充分感受到了韩语的优越性，也会积极成为优秀民族文化的守护者与传播者。
