TONIGHT at 7:30pm we have a hilarious showcase for you. Our comedians have been testing out new material for months at our open mics and now it is time for them to present their best material. This isn't about out comedians testing anything. Everything they use is funny and tested.
Come for 90 minutes of nonstop comedy with a special guest from Chongqing, Emily, who is closing out the show.
The 6 Comedians!
Emily is a New Yorker who has been performing with the Chongqing Comedy Club since 2021, but she’s had stand-up in her heart since she was a young girl. It’s a weird heart. Her comedic influences include Maria Bamford and James Acaster, and in her act, she addresses the absurdity of living in this modern world. Life’s a joke, you might as well laugh.
Cory has been doing stand up since 2020 and is known for using the traditional form of standup comedy that was popular in America in the late 20th century. He's known for witty one liners and edgy punchlines.
Leon Wang is a regular performer at Chengdu Comedy Club. Since 2022, he has done multiple headlining/co-headlining shows around China. His comedy often centers around awkward daily life encounters, marriage, weird childhood memories and East vs. West cultural clashes.
Ally has performed stand up in 5 different countries. She combines dark British humour with a personal twist.
From Hainan to Chengdu, Pepper is a rising stand-up comedian. She turns single life and the countdown to 30 into punchlines.
Vic, a Chengdu local and Chengdu Comedy Club regular, has done stand-up for nearly a year. This rising star boasts diverse styles, with self-deprecating humor and local jokes.
