希腊专利包含发明、外观设计、实用新型，由希腊工业产权局（OBI）负责审查、授予与保护。本期主要介绍发明。
希腊是PCT以及EPO成员国，因此申请希腊发明有三种途径：直接向OBI递交申请、通过PCT途径指定希腊、通过PCT指定EPO后在希腊生效。
希腊发明可以通过电子或纸质形式提交，申请文件必须包含：申请书、发明说明与权利要求、附图（如有）、委托书（如有）。
非希腊居民或企业或在希腊无常用地址的申请人，需要委托希腊专利律师进行专利申请。
提交申请时，申请人需要缴纳申请官费以及专利第一年年费，在费用缴足、申请材料符合形式要求时，申请予以受理，OBI告知申请日与申请号。
如申请材料或费用存在问题，申请人应当在申请提交之日起四个月内补充完整或完成更正，否则申请不予受理。
希腊发明申请的文件可以使用希腊语、英语、法语、德语提交，如非前述文件，需要在申请提交之日起四个月内提交其中任一语言的翻译件。
申请提交之日起四个月内，申请人应当请求OBI进行检索，并支付检索费，否则发明申请会自动转化为实用新型专利申请。OBI发出检索报告之日起三个月内，申请人可以针对报告内容进行答复或意见陈述。
根据申请人的意见陈述，OBI会作出最终检索报告，最终报告内会评估根据现行法律授予专利权时必须考虑的所有现有技术。
自申请日或优先权日（如请求）起18个月内，希腊发明申请会自动公开。
希腊发明专利有效期为自申请日次日起20年，到期前12个月可缴纳年费。涉及制药的专利，在符合条件的情况下，可以另外获得最多5年保护期（SPC制度）。
希腊发明申请接受分案申请，即在专利授权前，符合要求的专利可以分案为多个发明专利申请。同时OBI接受转换申请，即如发明专利申请最终被拒绝授予专利权，在符合要求的情况下，可以将发明申请转化为实用新型专利申请。

Greek patents include inventions, designs and utility models, which are examined, granted and protected by the Greek Intellectual Property Office (OBI). This issue focuses on inventions.
Greece is a member of the PCT and the EPO, so there are three ways to apply for a Greek invention: filing directly with the OBI, designating Greece through the PCT route, or designating the EPO through the PCT and having it take effect in Greece.
Apply
Greek inventions can be filed electronically or in paper form, and the application documents must contain: application, description of the invention with claims, accompanying drawings (if any), and power of attorney (if any).
Applicants who are not residents or enterprises in Greece or who do not have a usual address in Greece are required to appoint a Greek Patent Attorney to file the patent application.
Upon filing the application, the applicant is required to pay the official application fee and the annual fee for the first year of the patent.
If the fee is paid in full and the application complies with the formal requirements, the application will be accepted and the OBI will inform the applicant of the date of filing and the number of the application.
If there are any problems with the application materials or fees, the applicant should complete the application or make corrections within four months from the date of filing, otherwise the application will not be accepted.
Documents for Greek invention applications may be filed in Greek, English, French, German or, in the case of documents other than the aforementioned, a translation into any of these languages within four months from the date of filing of the application.
Within four months from the filing date of the application, the applicant shall request the OBI to carry out a search and pay the search fee, otherwise the invention application will be automatically converted into a utility model application.
Within three months from the date of issuance of the search report by the OBI, the applicant may respond to the contents of the report or make representations.
On the basis of the applicant's representations, the OBI issues a final search report, which evaluates all the prior art that must be taken into account for the grant of a patent under the current law.
The application for a Greek invention is automatically published within 18 months from the filing date or the priority date (if requested).
A patent for a Greek invention is valid for a period of 20 years from the day following the date of filing, with annual fees payable 12 months prior to expiry.
Patents relating to pharmaceuticals may be granted an additional period of protection of up to 5 years, subject to the fulfilment of conditions (SPC regime).
Greek invention applications are accepted as divisional applications, i.e. patents that meet the requirements can be divided into multiple invention patent applications before the patent is granted.
The OBI also accepts conversion applications, i.e. if the invention patent application is ultimately refused to be granted, the invention application may be converted into a utility model patent application, subject to the requirements.
