新加坡专利包含发明、外观设计、实用新型，由新加坡知识产权局（IPOS）负责审查、授予与保护。本期主要介绍外观设计。
新加坡是外观设计海牙体系成员国，因此申请新加坡外观设计有两种途径：直接向IPOS递交申请、通过海牙途径指定新加坡。
新加坡外观设计申请可以通过IPOS官方的申请系统提交。外观设计申请文件包括：
（1）申请表：填写具体的申请人、设计人等信息
（2）外观设计的名称、设计说明。一项申请中最多可以包含50个设计，但是必须属于同一洛迦诺分类
（3）主动缴纳申请官费
新加坡外观设计申请支持延期公布，但需要在申请时附上说明并缴纳延期公布费。
申请材料和申请费无问题后，IPOS会发送确认函与申请号给申请人，如果一项申请中包含了多个设计，每个设计都会有对应的申请号。
SPTO对外观设计进行形式审查，主要审查是否符合新颖性要求、设计本身是否符合规制要求等。如审查无问题，则会授予专利权并公布。如有问题，申请人需要在收到审查意见的3个月内补充缺失文件或进行答复，如未答复，申请会被视为撤回。
新加坡外观设计保护期自申请日开始计算，有效期为5年，每5年需要续展一次，最长保护15年。

2.延期公布请求（每个设计）：40新元
3.撤销注册（每个设计）：400新元
Singapore patents include inventions, designs, and utility models, which are reviewed, granted, and protected by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). This issue mainly introduces the appearance design.
Singapore is a member of the Hague System of Designs, so there are two ways to apply for a design in Singapore: submitting the application directly to IPOS or designating Singapore through the Hague pathway.
Apply
Singapore design applications can be submitted through the official application system of IPOS. The appearance design application documents include:
(1) Application Form: Fill in specific information about the applicant, designer, etc
(2) The name and design description of the exterior design. A maximum of 50 designs can be included in one application, but they must belong to the same Locarno classification
(3) Proactively pay the application officer's fee
Singapore's design application supports delayed publication, but requires an explanation and payment of the delayed publication fee at the time of application.
After the application materials and fees are satisfactory, IPOS will send a confirmation letter and application number to the applicant. If an application contains multiple designs, each design will have a corresponding application number.
SPTO conducts formal reviews of exterior designs, mainly examining whether they meet novelty requirements and whether the design itself complies with regulatory requirements. If there are no issues with the examination, the patent will be granted and published.
If there are any issues, the applicant needs to supplement missing documents or provide a response within 3 months of receiving the examination opinions. If no response is received, the application will be considered withdrawn.
The design protection period in Singapore starts from the date of application and is valid for 5 years. It needs to be renewed every 5 years, with a maximum protection period of 15 years.

3. Revocation of registration (per design): SGD 400
