Turkey Twitter Blue Subscription Launch and Pricing
Turkey users can now access Twitter Blue, though currently only iOS subscribers are eligible; Android support remains unavailable. Pricing varies significantly between platforms:
- iOS: Monthly 209 TRY / Annual 2,199 TRY (12% annual discount)
- Web: Monthly 150 TRY / Annual 1,569 TRY (More cost-effective)
Although the official site lists Android pricing identical to iOS, purchases via Android devices are not yet functional.
Expansion to European Markets
Approximately one week prior to the Turkey launch, Twitter Blue expanded to roughly 20 countries, including the Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, Belgium, Sweden, Romania, Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark, Greece, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Slovakia, Latvia, Slovenia, Estonia, Croatia, Luxembourg, Malta, and Cyprus.
Feature Updates & Revenue Growth
For non-subscribers, SMS-based two-factor authentication has been removed. Premium features such as NFT profile pictures, tweet undo, and editing are now exclusive to Twitter Blue members.
Despite recent technical controversies, Twitter Blue is driving significant revenue growth. Amidst a general decline in European social media app downloads, Twitter's app revenue surged by 1,829% in 2022.
