A Chinese-Cuban cultural exchange celebrating music, movement and creative expression.

New Writing Supermarket, the art collective that brought you a rave in an abandoned hospital, is turning its attention to the Caribbean, exploring the connections between body, voice and emotion.

The seeds of ‘Cuba Week’ were planted three years ago, when co-founder Hana Chen met Cuban-Hispanic artist Alejandro Linares at one of his singing workshops. Their friendship has since blossomed into a creative partnsership, culminating in this week-long celebration.

The programme kicks off with a documentary screening before moving into movement and vocal workshops, a full-blown Cuban fiesta complete with food and dancing, and more.

CRUSH Wine Festival

Social Supply Shanghai’s annual wine festival uncorked a whole new format this year.

Rather than keeping the good stuff bottled up in a single venue, the organisers turned it into a month-long, city-wide celebration of all things wine — from special pairing dinners to flower-arranging and bookbinding workshops.

The festivities kicked off at Green Station on opening weekend, and now, for the grand finale, they’re heading to the West Bund waterfront for two weekends of sipping, swirling and socialising.

Twenty-one years and still bringing the heat!

Shanghai’s Chili Cook-Off continues to spice things up with new recipes, fresh faces and a few surprises each edition.

This year marks the first time entries will be judged in two separate categories: with beans and without. It’s a hotly contested debate among chili lovers. There’s even special merch declaring which side of the bean divide you’re on.

Prizes are up for grabs in three categories: Best Chili Award (judges’ vote), People’s Choice Award (audience vote) and the G-Man Award (best team costumes).

Tanat Teeradakorn’s Memory Threshold: Resonance of Chaos at Busan Biennale 2026

A multi-disciplinary artist, musician, DJ, graphic designer, and researcher, Tanat Teeradakorn isn’t tied down by labels or categories.

Sound, moving images, choreography, and merch will collide in Memory Threshold: Resonance of Chaos after Teeradakorn’s two-month residency in Shanghai, during which time he derived inspiration from temples, souvenir markets, underground music venues, and the historic Pathé Villa.

BUNCH Wine Festival takes the stuffiness out of wine culture, replacing it with a heady mix of informal tastings, tasty bites, live music, art, shopping and more. 

This year’s food lineup is a little unusual in that some tastemakers are pairing up to present brand new bites!

Furthermore, some chefs are specially coming to BUNCH from out of town, namely Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and more.
