SHANGHAI, China — October 15, 2026
SEKO Logistics (SEKO), the leader in end-to-end global logistics, has officially opened its new warehouse in Shanghai’s Waigaoqiao area. The occasion was marked by an opening ceremony attended by representatives of the customer, the Waigaoqiao Administrative Committee and local industry partners.
The new site deepens SEKO’s contract logistics footprint in one of China’s most important trade gateways and strengthens the company’s ability to support manufacturers operating in and out of the region.
Developed in partnership with a leading connectivity solutions company operating in the Waigaoqiao bonded area, the 8,300-square-meter bonded facility brings raw materials and finished goods operations together under one roof. It provides the customer with a dedicated, scalable logistics platform designed around inventory control, operational visibility and responsiveness to production demand.
Separate areas for receiving, storage, packing, staging and shipping, plus a temperature- and humidity-controlled zone.
STRENGTHENING LOCAL CAPACITY IN GREATER CHINA
The Waigaoqiao facility adds to SEKO’s growing presence across Greater China, where a network of nine offices connects customers to the company’s worldwide air, ocean, customs, compliance and fulfillment capabilities. Shanghai serves as one of SEKO’s primary logistics hubs in the region.
For SEKO, the opening reflects a broader strategy of investing in capacity where its customers’ supply chains are concentrated, pairing on-the-ground expertise in China with the reach of its global network.

With dedicated local operations and customer service teams, supported by SEKO China’s wider functional expertise, the new site strengthens SEKO’s ability to combine warehousing and inventory management with freight forwarding and customs services for customers in Shanghai and the surrounding region.
This integrated approach gives customers access to a single logistics partner across warehousing, transportation and international trade requirements.
BUILT FOR TODAY, DESIGNED FOR WHAT COMES NEXT
Working as one project team, SEKO and the customer took the warehouse from contract award to full operation in around two months. Finished goods and raw materials were transitioned through carefully staged phases designed to support operational continuity.

The facility has been designed as an evolving operational platform. The continuous improvement roadmap includes dashboard development, improved accessibility, very narrow aisle storage, electronic data interchange, RFID and additional value-added services.
Future concepts under evaluation include autonomous mobile robots, forklift mobile robots and an automated pallet packaging line.
These initiatives are intended to improve process visibility, storage efficiency, system integration and operational standardization as requirements evolve. Final configurations and implementation schedules remain subject to the project roadmap.
