According to data from Mexico’s National Institute of Statistics and Geography, Mexico recorded a merchandise trade deficit of $82.721 billion with China from January to August 2026, representing an 4.8% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

2026 年前八个月，墨西哥对华出口额同比增长 58.1%，达 99.34 亿美元；墨西哥自中国进口额同比增长 8.7%，达 926.55 亿美元。按金额测算，墨西哥每向中国出口 1 美元商品，对应自中国进口超 9 美元商品，而去年同期该比值为 13.5。中国仍是墨西哥第二大贸易伙伴，同时为墨西哥仅次于美国的第二大进口来源国。
From January to August 2026, Mexico’s exports to China rose 58.1% year-on-year to $9.934 billion, while Mexico’s imports from China increased 8.7% year-on-year to $92.655 billion. For every one dollar of goods exported to China, Mexico imported more than nine dollars worth of Chinese goods, compared with $13.5 in the same period a year earlier. China remains Mexico’s second-largest trading partner and the second-largest source of imports, following the United States.

Figures from the U.S. Census Bureau show that from January to August 2026, Mexico exported $419.344 billion to the United States, up 18.3% year-on-year, and imported $263.473 billion, a 16.6% increase. This left the United States with a $155.871 billion trade deficit with Mexico for the first eight months of 2026.
