adidas is bringing FUTURE OF THREE to Shanghai ROJO Art & Culture Space, with a programme that moves between fashion, sport, music, food and art. The event follows last year's POWER OF THREE and takes the Three Stripes as a starting point for a broader look at how the brand's identity can keep changing.
One part of the programme focuses on the Stan Smith. The indoor residency will bring together pieces from the adidas archive, art and design, and a preview of upcoming footwear. Visitors can also find a green-themed gallery and living room, a styling corner, a drawing wall and live music from local musicians. Outside, a "Green Exchange" installation invites guests to swap a green object of their own for one on display. The lawn will also host tennis-inspired activities and games including roundnet, jianzi, Chinese jump rope and Baduanjin.
The runway show brings several Spring/Summer 2027 collections together, including adidas Originals Women, Future of Style, Skicore, adidas Outdoor's "Shan Chuan Li" and an Originals Neo-Chinese collection. Y-3 will have its own segment, which adidas describes as the label's first runway presentation in China. Chefs Qu Yuyu, Gao Yonghao, Jiang Wanling and Zhao Yao of CHEF of CHINA are also creating limited-edition dishes for the event.
