Beluga Communications : From a Different Perspective .

“Salam Sejahtera” which is a greeting in Malay Language explains where I came from. This so called Malaya Tiger Land is my hometown for more than 20 years. I’m a Malaysian Chinese where both my parents are Malaysian yet my grandparents migrated from China during the 1940s. Having the thoughts of how China has grown so fast in the last decades, I chose to experience and witness it out of curiosity by having my first internship in Beijing, China. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to be chosen by Beluga Communications to become their first international intern.

January 2017, I was given a chance to get closer with Beluga Communications. From my understanding, Beluga Communications acts as a platform for oversea mobile advertising and marketing as well as a channel to help start-ups to “go global”. This concept is growing in popularity in the recent two years due to the concentration and competition of markets in China. For Malaysians, this idea is still very new and fresh as it is undergoing its evaluation phase.

Beluga Communications visions on creating a multicultural environment and culture in the coming future as they themselves are having collaboration with variety of areas such as South East Asia, Middle East and North America. By doing so, they can provide a better service to their customers as they have a better understanding of the customer's individual preferences. There’s no use to be an armchair strategist. I am very grateful to be the first international intern in this company to witness that Beluga Communications is really moving towards international.

Beluga Communications is consistently updating the news regarding China based mobile apps and not forgetting to follow up with the investment of China giant tech companies on start-ups in different countries in order to update China users regarding the rapid movement of the global market. This allows China readers to understand China mobile apps development in a new perspective. It’s undeniably that China mobile apps’ users occupy more than half of the market. By doing oversea marketing, Beluga Communications is not only doing “go global” but also contributing back to this large piece of pie, balancing the environment.

Through the internship at Beluga Communications, I foresee a detailed picture of the transformation of China mobile apps to become the top leading mobile apps in the world. I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to Beluga Communications for providing me with this golden opportunity and be my ' Si Fu' which brings the meaning of teacher to a newbie like me in the field of oversea marketing. I do hope we will cross path in the coming future and when the time comes, I sincerely hope that Beluga Communications has already achieved far from where it is standing today.
